• Independently evaluates the technical aspects of bids received from suppliers and concludes technical assessment. Generally, Lead Engineers are assigned with complex packages and / or high risk equipment.
• Assists in placing and executing the orders. After orders, independently reviews supplier documents (such as data sheets, drawings) for their completeness, accuracy and compliance. Being the focal point, liaises and coordinates with various stakesholders.
• Oversees the technical and administrative management of the project mechanical team and ensures quality/schedule of deliverables from the team.
• Provides technical/engineering support/visit and advice for quality work at supplier shop and Construction/Commissioning work at site.
• Independently resolves technical issues using expert knowledge and technical know-how that may arise during the execution of package engineering, fabrication and post delivery.
• Ensures business activities and decisions conform to the laws and regulations and demonstrates high standard of ethical behaviour.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• Minimum 15 years relevant working experience in mechanical engineering in oil and gas sector, preferable experience in FPSO, offshore application
• Possess relevant experience working on EPC projects
• Shall be conversant with design standards and International Industry Codes such as ASME, API, etc.
