• Leads the team in developing/maintaining Company BIM implementation plan, policies, standards, guides and BIM contents for overall BIM development. Ensures that the process is in alignment with the project team/field adoption;
• Develops BIM training programmes (BIM adoption from authoring, coordination through to BIM assisted quantification and project simulation) according to agreed schedule;
• Facilitates as Virtual Design and Construction Coordinator for BIM implemented Project management and process for BIM Integrated service co-ordination and clash resolution (Project Basis);
• Liaises with Project Manager and prepares BIM assisted tender proposals and submissions;
• Develops BIM and technological advancement branding for the Company and its subsidiaries through awareness campaign to Authorities and Corporate clients via seminars and workshops);
• BIM implementation in the Company, setting up of BIM standards, Guides, Libraries and Training programs. Identifies/recommends possible BIM/VDC integrated technologies to foster a corporate branding for Sunray as a productive/innovative organisation;
• Ensures that the BIM production team (BIM Modeller and Coordinator) deliver the BIM assisted project with professionalism (Quality, due diligence and timeliness);
• Initiates and implements BIM implementation strategies and delivers BIM execution plan;
• Assists in the preparation of project outputs eg data drops;
• Implementation of the BIM protocol, including updating the model production and delivery table (versions of software to be used, how models are to be modelled and delivered;
• Instrumental in facilitating VDC (virtual design and construction) projects, actively co-ordinating between BIM teams and drafting teams, as well assist Project Manager to coordinate BIM assisted Project management as and when required by client’s contractual requirements.
• Interfaces with Design Team BIM and IT Manager to ensure software is installed and operating properly;
• Other BIM/Technology adoption related duties/ responsibilities as may be assigned;

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred).
• Extensive experience in BIM implementation and management
• Proficiency in BIM software platforms such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, etc.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards and protocols.

Main Duties:

1. Manage / Supervise & Coordinate project's day to day activities including installation and coordination with consultants, main contractors and subcontractors.
2. Coordinate and report to Client with site coordination, site progress and site execution matters.
3. Develop and Track the project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems on time to ensure the project progress on time.
4. Determines project schedule by studying project plans and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
5. Coordination with Consultant, Owner representative, operations, contractors to ensure that the construction is as per design specification.
6. Monitor, validate and control additional cost or variation orders and submit them to Project Manager for approval.
7. Coordinate weekly and monthly meetings with all key person like consultants, Owner Representative, Contractors etc.
8. Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions to meet the schedule and budget.
9. Ensures safety documents and issues work permits to contractors in collaboration with Project Engineer and site safety officer.
10. Hold the weekly and monthly project meetings with contractors and other key persons to update the status and activity of the project.
11. Ensures that weekly or monthly project status reports are recorded by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
12. Manage and coordinate vendors and suppliers during commissioning and testing of the equipment and systems with the assistance of commissioning engineer and project engineer.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering education.
• Physically fit to work at a construction site.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 yrs experience working on site installation coordinator and construction management.
• Experience working at process/equipment construction site, plant installation, EPC, or equivalent.
• With experience engineering design and technical document preparation is an advantage.

Skills:

• Ability to read, understand & demonstrate technical design drawings.
