We are seeking to recruit a proactive and motivated research assistant to join the Bezos Centre for Sustainable Protein at the National University of Singapore (NUS) launched on 5 September 2024, the first of its kind in Asia to advance research in alternative proteins. Led by experts from NUS and research institutes in Singapore, the Centre aims to drive global food security and accelerate regional innovation. The focus will be on microalgae research and biomass fermentation, to produce high-quality, affordable, and sustainable microbial proteins from microalgae and biomass fermentation that can be further developed into cultured meat and plant-based protein hybrids. Microbial proteins will be cultivated through fermentation and processed using emerging bio-physical techniques for effective biotransformation, to improve digestibility, flavour, and nutritional profile. As a research assistant, you will assist with conducting and monitoring microalgal cultivation bioprocesses via analytical techniques to achieve maximal product titres, yields, and rates. Our client is a private rehab center looking for a rehab assistant to assist in their daily routine.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in the implementation of treatment plans and rehabilitation exercises under the guidance of the rehabilitation therapists.

· Help patients with physical activities such as walking, stretching, strengthening exercises, and mobility tasks.

· Monitor patients during therapy sessions and report progress or concerns to therapists.

· Set up and maintain therapy equipment (e.g., exercise machines, weights, mobility aids).

· Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility around the facility.

· Record and maintain accurate patient progress notes, including any changes in condition.

· Ensure that patients are comfortable, safe, and supported throughout therapy sessions.

· Provide basic administrative support (e.g., scheduling appointments, updating records, assisting with patient intake).

· Educate and encourage patients in performing prescribed exercises at home to facilitate recovery.

· Assist in patient assessments, including measurements of strength, range of motion, and endurance.

· Provide emotional support to patients, ensuring they feel motivated and engaged during their rehabilitation process.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the therapy area and equipment.

Requirement :

· Minimum ITE Skills Certificates or equivalent required.

· A Diploma in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy is an advantage.
