The Executive - Product Category supports in developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating marketing plans for multiple product ranges in the APAC region. This role aims to achieve sales objectives in the short to mid-term while ensuring product category growth and profitability. JOB BRIEF

The Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales for the company’s designed innovative and high-quality luxury lighting products for clients in various industries such as hospitality, retail, residential, and commercial spaces, generating leads, making sales calls, continuously updating sales, meeting sales targets, and maintaining clients’ information.

The primary focus will be identifying potential clients, cultivating strong relationships, understanding their lighting needs, creating excellent sales pitches, meeting new clients, fostering good relationships to maintain future sales, and providing tailored solutions to meet clients’ requirements.

Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media, preparing appropriate presentations on products and services, and creating frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data. Participating on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences, negotiating/closing deals and handling complaints or objections. Collaborating with team members to achieve better results gathering feedback from clients or prospects and sharing with the sales team.

The Sales Executive reports to the Sales & Marketing Manager.

EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Charismatic and skilled person, responsible for approaching potential clients to inform them about our products and services, building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients to ensure their business in the future.

2) Have excellent interpersonal skills and experience in sales and with sales knowledge to create a compelling sales pitch.

3) Prospect and generate leads through market research, networking, and cold calling to identify potential clients interested in aesthetic lighting solutions.

4) Contact potential and existing clients on the phone, by email, and in person, and understand their lighting requirements, preferences, and budgets.

5) Maintained quality service to enforce company standards, handled client questions, inquiries, and complaints and conducted thorough assessments of client spaces to determine optimal lighting solutions, including product selection, placement, and customisation options.

6) Collaborate closely with the design and technical teams to develop customised lighting proposals and presentations tailored to each client's needs. Present and demonstrate the company’s lighting products and solutions to clients, effectively articulating the features, benefits, and value proposition.

7) Have a proven track record in sales, a deep understanding of lighting technologies and trends, and exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

8) A dynamic and results-oriented candidate specializing in aesthetic lighting solutions and staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to effectively position the company’s products in the market.

9) Prepare and send quotes and proposals and manage the sales process through the sales order processing system. Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates for regular review and analysis.

10) Deep understanding of lighting technologies, trends, and applications, with the ability to provide technical advice, and create compelling sales pitches and solutions to clients.

11) Build and maintain the client database and meet the monthly sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the management.

12) Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions to promote the company’s brand and expand its market presence.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

1) A degree in marketing, preferably in the lighting industry or related field.

2) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences, good negotiation and problem-solving skills, and ability to gauge client needs.

3) Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes for the company and the client. Experience working in sales and with a charismatic personality.

4) Work independently with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency, possess a good and positive working attitude, and reach out to potential clients to inform them about our products and services.

5) Hands-on experience in the sales order processing system and completing all paperwork relating to sales.

6) Valid driver's license and clean driving record, and with a minimum of 3 years of sales experience with excellent client service and sales skills.

7) Proficiency in MS Office Professional (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

• Organise and conduct regular credit & AR review meetings with sales departments to close out all delinquent accounts.
• Follow up and communicate with customers.
• Review and process new customer account applications.
• Maintain and update particulars and credit limits of customer accounts in SAP.
• Monitor daily sales transactions for credit holds in SAP and communicate with sales department to address overdue issues.
• Disseminate or circulate invoices, statements of accounts, reminder and confirmation letters.
• Perform customer account reconciliations and confirmations.
• Prepare regular collections and AR status reports for management and for HQ.
• Liaise with insurer and apply for trade credit insurance for customer accounts with credit terms.
• Liaise with banks in respect of bank guarantees including but not limited to letters of credit.
• Check supporting documents to carry out billings to customers.
• Other adhoc duties assigned by Senior Financial Controller/ Assistant Manager.

Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail. Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room type. Verify availability of room type and rate. Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers. Accommodate and document special requests. Answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations. Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue. Input and access data in reservation system. Indicate special room reservation types (e.g., complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agent inspection rates, and wholesale reservations) by inputting the correct code and rate into the reservation system. Follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.

Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets; protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers. • Reports to the Senior Trade Manager for assigned service management
• Prepare the voyage-based allocation for areas and control/optimize the ultilization to ensure profitability of the service
• Actively steer and optimize the ultilization as well as the profitability
• Actively manage the slot control activities including slot purchase and sale
• Manage the communication and coordination with partners on operational processes
• Decision-making for ad hoc schedule adjustments / optimizations in collaboration with sales and operation team
• Support in the preparation of the monthly and weekly volume and revenue reports
• Participate in trade and service optimization

Requirements and Qualification

Job Responsibilities:

• To assist in issuing invoices to customers using ERP system for Singapore & overseas subsidiaries on timely manner.
• To assist in recording AR receipts into the accounting system and to ensure all AR collection is up to date.
• To generate payment vouchers to vendors so that AP schedule is according to the payment cycle.
• To update vendors invoices into the accounting system from time to time so that AP ageing is constantly updated.
• To review, check and verify staff claims so that all the claims are comply with the employee’s handbook guidelines and claims procedures.
• To check vendors’ SOA and compare the figures to our system to ensure no invoices are omitted.
• To assist in month end closing activities in term of bank reconciliation, GL, accrual, depreciation and prepayment entries.
• To prepare inter-company billings and ensure that all business transactions are properly recorded to the respective entities.
• To assist in GST quarterly filling for Singapore registered entities, and SST filing for overseas entities.
• To work closely with local subsidiaries/ auditors/ tax agents/ vendors to ensure that all financial transactions and records are in accordance with applicable local accounting standards, as well as statutory and tax requirements.
• To maintain property asset register and review property capital expenditure.
• To ensure the maintenance of adequate internal controls, proper accounting practices across the group, and ongoing compliance with group policies/statutory requirements.
• To liaise with external auditors, taxation officers and corporate secretarial company.
• Any additional duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Job requirements:

• Possess a Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience, and experience in group accounting will be an added advantage.
• Must know how to do full sets of accounts, and knowledge in consolidation experience is a plus.
• Good knowledge in Singapore tax, audit and accounting laws, practices and regulations.
• Ability to analyse financial statements and is able to identity errors in financial reporting.
• Organised and able to prioritise work to meet deadlines effectively.
