Investigation Officer

Location: Tanglin

Duration: 1 Year Contract

Working Hours: 0900hrs to 1800hrs from Mondays to Fridays

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare relevant documents and letters as requested by officers;
2. File and/or duplicate court documents, media files, and other documents;
3. Process completed investigation case files for filling;
4. Proofread documents/transcripts to check for accuracy;
5. Answer calls from members of public and re-direct calls to the relevant officers;
6. Liaise with members of public for appointments with officers;
7. Administrative processing of case exhibits;
8. Any other administrative tasks, such as planning unit-level events, collating KPIs, etc;

Requirements:

1. Singaporeans Only
2. Must not be a subject of an ongoing criminal investigation at the time of application for the job;
3. Was not terminated from service from any civil service;
4. Observe confidentiality at all times for all documents and information received and handled during the course of work;
5. Possess at least Diploma / A’level qualifications, and will be assessed based on a mixture of experience, aptitude and qualifications;
6. Preference for candidates with relevant working experience in law enforcement agencies
7. Meticulous, organised, and able to work independently;
8. Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills (both spoken and written) in English;

Job Summary: As the main contractor’s Safety Officer, you will report to the Project Manager and be responsible for maintaining a safe and compliant construction site. Your duties include developing and enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular inspections, facilitating training programs, and fostering a culture of safety among all personnel. You will also liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Inspections: Conduct safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with WSH regulations. Perform periodic safety audits and document findings.
2. Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards, develop control measures, and monitor risk assessments regularly to ensure ongoing safety.
3. Training and Education: Organize and deliver safety training programs, including toolbox meeting and emergency response drills, ensuring all personnel understand safety protocols and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

5. Safety Protocols: As the main contractor's Safety Officer, you will implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring they are updated to reflect any changes in regulations or company policies. You will also liaise with regulatory bodies, such as the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), to guarantee compliance with all statutory requirements, reinforcing a commitment to safety at the Main Contractor level.
6. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, conducting regular drills to ensure site readiness.
7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, safety training
   sessions, incident reports, and risk assessments. Prepare monthly safety performance reports.
8. Communication: Act as a point of contact for safety-related concerns, facilitating clear
   communication between management and workers to promote a culture of safety.

Responsibilities:

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Valid Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) certification recognized by MOM, with additional certifications in risk management, fire safety, first aid, being advantageous.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of WSH regulations in Singapore.
• Excellent knowledge of construction site safety practices and legal requirements.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

1. Unit inspection, readiness/preparation:
Conduct quality inspection of 100% of the units to identify defects for rectification, ensuring that home units handed over to home buyers are in good condition.

2. Defects Rectification
Ensure defects rectification completed within stipulated timeline by liaising with main contractor and owners on rectification works and arranging joint inspections with owners on completion where necessary.

3. Unit handover to owners
Assist the Customer Service team in the liaison with main contractor on handover preparation by ensuring that the handover kit is complete on time with complete information.

4. Handling Customer Complaints/ feedback
Assist in the resolution of owners' complaints arising from defects and other area and ensure Owners' complaints resolved satisfactorily.
