Position Overview
The Boarding Executive plays a pivotal role within the boarding school community, collaborating with
the boarding management team to ensure smooth daily operations, foster a positive living environment,
and support the holistic development of students.
Key Responsibilities
1. Student Care & Development
- Promote self-discipline and effective time management among boarders.
- Provide care and guidance to nurture students' social and emotional growth.
- Create a supportive atmosphere for academic and personal development.
- Equip students with essential life skills, including conflict resolution, independence, and character building.
- Cultivate a sense of belonging through active engagement in programs and activities.
2. Operational Management
- Build trusting relationships with students and address their concerns.
- Maintain discipline, safety, and security within the boarding community.
- Act as a liaison between parents, teachers, and assigned students.
- Plan and lead boarding programs and activities to enhance the boarding experience.
- Handle administrative tasks, including record-keeping and communication.
3. Facilities & Routine Oversight
- Conduct regular room and hygiene checks and follow up on any issues.
- Manage reception duties as needed.
- Provide operational support during weekends, school holidays, and public holidays, including night shifts.
4. Additional Responsibilities
- Undertake ad hoc tasks and other responsibilities as assigned by the Reporting Officer.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum diploma holder.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with empathy for students and the ability to manage job demands.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) and Mandarin (spoken) to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking.
- Experience in boarding services, youth mentorship, or similar fields is preferred.
- Additional certifications (e.g., first aid) counselling or mentoring experience are advantageous.
- Willingness to reside on campus and work night shifts during weekdays and weekends.
