Job Summary

The role of Engineer is to support the Engineering Manager in checking and approving drawings/designs of Surface Product to meet customer’s requirement, Cameron Engineering and API Standards.

The Engineer will support the manufacturing and refurbishment of Wellhead equipment(s) via the disposition of NCRs and RGRs. The Engineer will also be appointed as the Lead Engineer for project work.

He/She is also responsible in assisting in troubleshooting field installation problems.

Roles and Responsibility

· Checking and approving drawings, information and documentation which meets the engineering standards to enable the manufacturing group and other departments to produce and market the Company’s product.

· Attend and initiate Design and Development Planning and Review session to meet customer’s and industry’s need.

· Guide and lead Junior Design Engineers and Designers on Engineering Design Work.

· Carrying out and direct design and development work to meet customers’ and/or the industry’s need.

· Conduct Engineering Training and Lesson Learnt sessions.

· Facilitate and/or conduct Root Cause Analysis session for SQ/PQ related incidents.

· Provide regional engineering support as instructed by Engineering Manager.

· Working and direct work within stated procedures to ensure that design records/control is maintained.

· To be capable of executing or participate in Stackup Test.

· To be capable of customer engagement.

· To be capable of performing design calculations and design analysis.

· To be capable of performing/conducting Value Engineering workshop and projects.

· To be capable of reviewing and disposing Non-Conformance or Aftermarket (RGR) product/equipment.

· Be familiar with Industrial Standards, Company products, design principles, manufacturing techniques.

Job Responsibilities

• Liaise between the various disciplines and departments to ensure works are carried out efficiently
• Ensure that the project meets the required specifications and standards
• Study and understand project spec, scope of work and scope of supply
• Assist to ensure that resources arrived are in accordance to the orders and requests raised
• Ensure that the resource allocations for production and project team are on time to ensure construction works can proceed on time
• Monitor and ensure that budgets are updated
• Support all HSE and QA/QC efforts and ensure works are in compliance to such efforts
• Assist in the preparation of reports to update the management on overall outyard activities
• Attend Client & Production Meeting together with Project Managers
• Tracks potential variations for the Projects and to follow up with Commercial
• Monitor progress status of individual Disciplines
• Submits Project Execution Plans for Tender Submission
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by Superior

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Min 5 years of experiences in Marine Project Management holding the same designation
• Good management and leadership skills
• Have own vehicle to travel to site inspection when needed
• Able to travel overseas for short trip when required

Job Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
• Strong technical knowledge (i.e. Process Design and calculation) in membrane (MF/UF/RO/MBR), Ion Exchange (2B3T, MB, CPU, EDI) and pretreatment processes (coagulation/ flocculation, sedimentation, clarification, filtration)
• Relevant project management / plant testing & comissioning experience will be an added advantage
• Self-starter, highly motivated, driven by excellence and having an eye for details

• Recognized Degree in Telecommunications or Electronics Engineering.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.

• Experience in designing & producing deliverables of telecom systems such as Radio Systems (Tetra/UHF/VHF), PAGA, PABX, CCTV, Access Control, Radio, Microwave, Navigational systems, GMDSS, Microwave, VSAT, DAS system for Oil & Gas projects.

• Experienced in Engineering studies such as PAGA coverage study, CCTV coverage study, RF coverage study.

• Able to work independently, multi-tasking, attention to detail, good communication skills, and high time conscious.

• Willing to travel overseas for short-term and/or long-term assignments.

• Lead/assist in the project from detailed design, documentation submissions.

• Evaluate specifications, conduct coverage studies, and prepare design calculations to construct an integrated telecom system in accordance with project requirements with the most suitable and most cost-effective design.

• Client facing environment, to hand technical discussions, design clarification meetings. Able to direct and lead a team of design engineers.

Ensure project quality standards and conformance with design plans and specifications are maintained.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will need to

1. Plan, create, release and follow up on production orders

2. Carry out preventive maintenance of machines and perform quality control inspection

3. Liaise with machine manufacturers to perform troubleshooting of production equipment as and when needed

4. Review and recommend disposition of rejected in-coming raw material, work-in-process and finished goods

5. Investigate quality escapes and recommend preventive measures

6. Collect and analyse production data to improve production efficiency and processes

7. Perform stocktaking duties

8. Perform any adhoc duties as assigned by superior

JOB REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for this role, you will need to have

1. At least a minimum NITEC in Mechatronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering certificate.

2. 1 to 2 years of working experience preferred.

3. Ability to understand mechanical and electrical drawings

4. Good command of written and spoken English needed for communications with overseas vendors

5. Competency in the use of Microsoft Office such as Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint

6. A team player who is self motivated and demonstrates initiative

7. A highly analytical and meticulous problem solver

8. A hands-on learner and loves working with machinery
