Emerson Asia Pacific Systems and Software is focused on driving growth of the Cybersecurity Business in the region by providing cybersecurity solutions for our DeltaV installed base, as well as responding to the more wholistic and encompassing cybersecurity solution requirements from our customers.
The AP Cybersecurity Senior Engineer will work closely with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) project teams to design and implement cybersecurity solutions for DeltaV control system clients. This will include understanding the overall cybersecurity requirements of the customer and delivering a secured system that meets and/or exceed the client’s expectations.
While the role is focused on delivery of AP project services, the cybersecurity senior engineer is expected to closely collaborate and coordinate with the global Cybersecurity teams and stakeholders in the region to ensure alignment and consistency with existing programs and overall cybersecurity strategy.
Scope of Work
Carries out complex and varied assignments requiring full knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, principles, and standards; and resolves complex problems using independent judgment. Requires application of mature knowledge in planning and conducting work, and coordination of difficult and responsible assignments. Scope includes one or more of the following:
· Accountable for ensuring the successful technical delivery of an assigned cybersecurity study / program / project
· Independently and successfully execute project assignments, providing on-site or remote technical support, diagnosis, consultation, and cybersecurity project implementation for DeltaV customers
· Troubleshoot and develop technical solutions related to DCS cybersecurity solutions. This involves analysis of security architectures, cybersecurity threats to process control systems, software installation, configuration, integration, and application issues and inquiries
· Acts internally and externally as a cybersecurity technical expert. Provides professional advice, guidance, and training to clients in a wide range of cybersecurity solutions to improve cybersecurity posture. Provides technical & administrative leadership to the project team for cybersecurity deliverables
Major duties/functions:
· Installation and configuration of network switches and firewalls
· Installation and implementation of Trellix Endpoint Solutions (Endpoint Security and Application Whitelisting), Backup & Recovery and Integrated Patch Management
· Installation and implementation of SIEM, NSM / TMS for DeltaV systems
· Provide expert consultation for matters relating to cybersecurity, policies & procedures, network designs, system architecture
· Provide integration design consultation on Emerson products
· Provide consultation on Operating System administration from a workgroup and domain perspective
· Complete interrogation of operating system data, Ethernet switch configuration, network firewall configuration for security audit
Minimum Qualifications:
· Education and Related Experience: Bachelor / Master’s in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems / Management
· Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity experience in the automation industry
· Must possess excellent oral and written English communication skills and the ability to communicate in both technical and business terms
Required Skills/Experience
· Strong understanding of cybersecurity requirements in both IT and OT
· Cybersecurity certifications IEC62443, GICSP, GIAC, CISSP or equivalent
· Virtualization Platforms: Hyper-V, VMware, VMware ESXi
· Can understand Emerson Control System Products & Services, help customers adopt Emerson cybersecurity solutions and deliver them
