Role: Field Engineer (Services)

Duration: 1 Year Contract (Renewable and convertible to perm)

Working Hours: Monday – Friday; 8.30am – 5.30pm

Location: Woodlands (Clients site)

Salary: Up to $4k + 1 month completion bonus

Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on semiconductor equipment and systems including computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems

- Perform on-site installation, continual improvement programmes, parts' overhaul, preventive maintenance, modifications and repair works on equipment

- Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects

- Coordinate logistics arrangements and with customer on equipment related matters

- Responds to customers’ complaints, provides time to solutions to resolve customers’ issues

- Monitors the performance of the product, provide regular update report and feedback on customer’s service requests

- Reports common complaints of customers to management in order to address the situation for future reference

Requirements:

- Degree/Diploma in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or its equivalent

- Preferably at least 2 years of relevant experience with semiconductor equipment knowledge

- Strong communication and good interpersonal skills

- A meticulous, organized and resourceful team player

- A highly motivated individual who works independently with little supervision

- Work in cleanroom environment

- Require to work or be on standby during after office hours/weekend/public holiday

Job Description for IOT Field Service Technician

An IoT Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting IoT devices such as Facial Recognition (FR), smart cameras, sensors, network devices, industrial IoT sensors and equipment. The role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with both hardware and software components of IoT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation and Setup:

• Install and configure IoT devices, sensors, and networks according to stakeholder requirements.
• Perform system integrations, ensuring that devices is able to communicate with the yard central system.
• Ensure network connectivity ie routers, Access Points, wi-fi is properly established for IoT systems.

1. Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

• Diagnose and resolve issues with IoT devices, networks, or platforms, both remotely and on-site.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of IoT devices and systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform firmware and software updates on devices as needed.
• Address and resolve connectivity issues, sensor malfunctions, and data reporting errors.

1. Customer Support:

• Provide technical support and training to stakeholder on how to use and maintain their IoT devices.

Job Scope:

- Collect prices via fieldwork from selected establishments (e.g. wet markets and hawker centres) across Singapore.

- Make clarifications with survey respondents.

- Assist in fieldwork for 4.5 to 5 days a week.

Assist in data entry or any other admin matters.

Requirements:

- Basic use of mobile devices, such as Tablets, to surf the internet and input of information in web-based forms.

- Ability to read and speak English.

- Ability to converse with respondents who speak only Mandarin to obtain price information not available on price boards and identify the items on the price boards/price lists printed only in Chinese.

Ability to speak some Chinese dialects will be useful.

Remarks:

- Company EZ-Link card will be provided to cover the cost of bus and MRT fare for fieldwork.

- Report to office on every Monday 8.30am (unless informed otherwise by reporting officer) for briefing and clarification.
