Purpose of the role

Report to the Head of Third Party Management (TPM) in Corporate Banking Control Department (CBCD) to support Singapore Branch to continuously meet MAS expectations. TPM takes care of process control as part of Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework of the branch through facilitating and continuously enhancing TPRM practices and fostering 1st line risk ownership of divisions located in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Management: Support third party arrangement owners and foster 1st line risk ownership by providing training, education, and guidance on the processes with sufficient understanding on regulatory expectations, internal policies and procedures, and business nature and risks.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor third party arrangements, identify issues, and report to internal stakeholders including Branch Managements, 2LoD, and relevant Committees
• Support the Head of TPM
• Process Control and Due Date Control: Track the progress of TPRM practices and ensure timely and accurate submission of the information / reports to the stakeholders.
• Document Check: Check accuracy and adequacy of the information / documents submitted by third party arrangement owners throughout the TPRM processes to ensure they meet formal requirements under the relevant policy and procedure.
• Document library Maintenance: Maintain the document library to enable BUs to access to the relevant manuals and existing / common documents
• Sanction Screening : Provide support in Third Party Service Provider Sanctions Name Screening Process
• Any special tasks assigned by the Head of CBCD and the Head of TPM

Job Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma qualified
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a control function
• An understanding of the fundamentals of risk management such as risk assessment, risk mitigation, and risk monitoring
• Candidates with risk management experience within the banking industry will be considered as a plus
• Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance standards regarding risk management such as third-party management
• Strong communication skills to liaise and collaborate with stakeholders

What will you do as a Equities Investment Analyst?

• Sector Coverage: Conduct in-depth research to thoroughly understand companies within GEM Energy, Materials & Utilities sectors. Provide differentiated insights and recommendations to the lead portfolio manager to inform investment decisions
• Commodity market research: Perform thorough fundamental analysis of commodities to identify investment opportunities and turning points, with a focus on the medium to long term. Analyze currency, political and regulatory risks.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

The Opportunity

We own, evolve and support the technology platforms that handle the post-execution processing for the Securities Execution, Prime Clearing, and Prime Brokerage businesses. This includes exchange and broker trade processing, internal firm/firm trades and client delivery across physical and synthetic products. We are at the start of a multi-year convergence program to deliver all of these businesses onto a single, high scalable platform, enabling business growth with reduced operational costs.

About the team

Our team consists of 19 people in Singapore and around 100 globally. Almost all of our projects are cross-location and cross-function, meaning we work directly with Front Office, Operations, Legal, Tax, and our Engineering colleagues from those areas, across the wider firm.

We work directly with Operations and Securities sales/trading, to design and implement, a wide range of functions including trade aggregators, trade matchers, payment systems, intercompany trade booking and settlement systems, and connectivity to exchanges, counterparties and vendors. Our Exception Workflow and Business Intelligence tooling allows our Operations teams to respond to client enquiries and monitor service levels.

Our Post Execution platform consists of a variety of applications that demand high throughput, performance and availability, including our strategic new Post Execution Sequencer platform which is a brand new/greenfield initiative to converge all of our businesses onto a single technology platform, to have much better scalability, improved resiliency and reducing the time needed to develop and deliver new features.

Role Summary

Digital Transformation is at the heart of our client’s group strategy. The Single Platform Augmented Consumer Experience (SPACE) program is a cornerstone CRM program conceived to put consumer at the heart of this transformation which help us achieve consumer centricity, digital strategy and seamless experiential brands. Responsibilities:
• Undertake hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance, including software installation and upgrades, hardware setup, mobile device management, file backups, and application configuration.
• Take ownership of and drive issues to resolution, including the escalation to specialized resources within the broader IT organization, remaining engaged until the matter is resolved.
• Deliver Tier 2 technical support for client facilities, encompassing video and audio conferencing services.
• Lead, coordinate, and partake in improvements related to the on-site IT environment.
• Advocate for the organization's information security management system, assisting customers to work efficiently within the ISMS framework.
• Validate fixes to ensure the successful resolution of problems.
• Conduct follow-ups with customers after issue resolution.
• Evaluate documented solutions and analyze trends to prevent future problems.
• Manage customer inquiries via phone and email in a polite manner.
• Establish rapport with customers.
• Perform preventative maintenance, including the inspection and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals.
• Prioritize and escalate issues as needed.
• Record, track, and document problem-solving processes, including both successful and unsuccessful decisions and actions taken until final resolution.
• Utilize diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting, accessing software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and online resources to facilitate problem resolution.
• Continuously develop the skills required for the role.
• Act as a backup for the IT Support Technician when necessary.
• Serve as the lead Audio Visual Subject Matter Expert (SME) for on-site and remote meetings and events as requested.
• Operate and maintain AV equipment for live meetings and events.
• Provide support and demonstrate expertise in online webinar tools and applications.

Qualifications/Experience:
• 3 to 5 years of experience in computer science, information sciences, or a related field.
• Microsoft MCP certification preferred or equivalent certification.
• Profound knowledge of computer hardware, particularly Dell workstations and laptops.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows.
• Extensive experience in providing support for Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to work within Service Level Agreements and a Service Desk framework.
• Experience collaborating within a team-oriented environment.

Job Scope

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for a Regional Finance portfolio including review of accounting operations (AR, AP, GL, Travel & Expense, Payroll approval etc), financial and management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, tax, audit, compliance and statutory filing requirements. You will implement cost control measures to manage CAPEX and OPEX, identify cost reduction opportunities and provide recommendations for improvement actions. You will also oversee cash flow and liquidity management, manage relationships with banks, ensure accuracy of payments and ensures prompt collections from customers. You will prepare financial results presentation, weekly and monthly reports for management and commercial teams to have latest information on sales, cost and profitability performance.
