Job Scope:

• Assist HOD in all aspects relating to the accounting functions to facilitate the closing of the full set of accounts

[What you will be working on]

As an intern, you will be required to:

• Conduct on-site visits and document reviews to assess an incentive recipient’s compliance with incentives conditions.
• Prepare review reports documenting the assessment and findings. The intern is required to have strong attention to detail and good analytical skills to conduct thorough and accurate compliance assessments.
• Engage with key stakeholders, including the organization being reviewed, EDB account managers, and policy divisions.  The intern is required to have good communication and interpersonal skills to engage the stakeholders effectively.

• Ensuring service delivery in accordance with pre-defined service level agreements, from planning, fieldwork and reporting.

[What you will be working on]

As our Intern, you will be required to/your deliverables are:

• Process payments to suppliers and reimbursement to staff involved in overseas operations.

• Monitoring accounts receivables, fixed assets, and bank accounts at overseas centres.

• Review, assess and provide recommendations for the assigned area within the overseas operations system and business process review project. For example, an Intern may be assigned to review the current process from procurement to payment for EDB overseas leases that fall under FRS116.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily and monthly billing activities timely and accurately
• Attend to billing queries by internal and external parties

Responsibilities

As a Finance Executive, you are responsible for performing end-to-end functions such as billing, payment collection, invoice, bank, fixed asset, and reporting. Be expected to work closely with various internal stakeholders to assist in both internal and external financial reporting and data analysis.

• Perform end-to-end accounts functions including but not limited to checking and validation, billing, payment collection and reporting
• Responsible for accounts receivable process by preparing prompt and accurate clients’ invoices for monthly billing and timely payment collection
• Responsible for accounts payables process by checking and validating vendor invoices and corporate credit card statement
• Reconcile monthly bank statement with Microsoft Dynamic 365 Business Central
• Assist in fixed asset process including asset registering, asset tagging and record tracking
• Assist in month-end financial closing activities
• Assist in financial reporting and financial analysis
• Assist in annual audit for statutory reporting, tax compliance and internal control compliance
• Perform any ad-hoc duties as required

• Minimum Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related fields
• Professional qualification with ISCA/ACCA preferred

• Perform day-to day accounting function and able to maintain full sets of accounts with proper records and schedules.
• Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger.
• Manage procurement processes, including record keeping and ensure compliance to organisation’s policies and processes.
• Ensure budget holders provide procurement plans in a timely manner and work closely with them to plan and initiate procurement.
• Ensure that procurement needs for the team and payment for invoices are properly carried out and processed respectively according to CMSG’s procedures and guidelines.
• Conduct reviews, recommend and implement KPIs, SOPs, etc to improve work efficiency and effectiveness to achieve better procurement outcome, contract management and corporate governance.
• Manage and coordinate internal and external audits to ensure timely response to the auditor and follow-up by the team.
• Assist in contract management and office administration.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy/Business
• Preferably at least 3 years of relevant experience in procurement and office admin.
• Working experience in public sector and charities would be advantageous.
• Preferably with working knowledge of accounting software in Xero and MS Office applications.
