Overview

The role holder, reporting to the Financial Controller, is

- To be responsible for managing day-to-to-today activities in treasury and corporate functions to meet the financial and regulatory obligations of the group.

- To assist the Group in audit and accounts functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Treasury

• To perform a broad range of treasury functions which includes cash management; bank loan management including rollovers, drawdown and compliance.

• To manage intercompany loans.

• To maintain & update all relevant banking records which include maintaining bank account Master Database, updating of consolidated report of banking facilities / charges and utilization.

• In charge of opening and maintenance of bank accounts, internet banking and application of bank facilities.

• To support business stakeholders in FX and trade financing matters.

• To identify business and market opportunities and work closely with banks for new funding scheme and evaluate current scheme for improvement.

• To coordinate with internal stakeholders on Tax compliance requests such as FATCA.

• To prepare weekly cash flow consolidation, consisting of short- and medium-term requirements.

Corporate

• To assist in the preparation of directors' and shareholders' resolutions.

• To assist in ensuring filing compliance in accordance with relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.

Accounting and Audit

• To support audit related matters including preparation of bank and directors’ confirmations.

• To assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable financial reporting standards and group guidelines.

• To assist in the review of payments and receipts.

Others

• Establish, develop, and maintain relationship with key internal and external stakeholders by providing high level support and engagement and maintain consistent strong operational relationships.

• To work with Legal Department on Banks’ Letter of Offer and negotiate terms and conditions with our banks.

• Ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the successful candidate will support the suite of companies across Blueleaf Energy’s footprint. The successful candidate should be business and commercial minded, capable of working independently to drive business performance, manage KPIs and collaborate closely as a keen team player. Strong analytical and communication skills are crucial. With the rapid growth of projects under development, together with the Head of Finance, be responsible for overseeing the business and financial operations for the business and be a trusted finance business partner. As a member of the Finance function, you will be a valued and integral partner with each of Blueleaf Energy’s appointed advisors, whilst continuously challenging the status quo and looking for opportunities to position the finance function in the most efficient model that also promotes a positive stakeholder experience.

Finance Business Partnering:

• Act as the Finance business partner for the CFO, supporting their needs and serving as the primary point of contact for financial, project, and platform-related matters across the APAC region.
• Deliver monthly management reporting for the APAC region within prescribed timeframes, overseeing project companies through development, construction, and operational phases.
• Provide financial analysis and modeling to support business planning, maintaining and enhancing FP&A data models using advanced tools like Microsoft Excel and Power BI to deliver actionable insights.
• Lead the annual budgeting process by collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders, challenging and consolidating budget inputs.
• Review and monitor expenditures across APAC, managing P&L performance and business KPIs.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of business drivers, the business model, and the lifecycle of Blueleaf Energy’s operations and projects across the APAC region.

Financial Accounting:

• Support the annual audits for all companies associated with Blueleaf Energy in the APAC region.
• Assist in implementing and executing accounting, tax, and structuring due diligence, particularly related to specific APAC markets.
• Continuously review and ensure compliance with financial risk and control standards across all relevant entities in the region.
• Collaborate closely with the Financial Control teams to implement finance best practices effectively.

People & Collaboration:

• Work effectively within a lean team of finance professionals, providing business oversight and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
• Display a personable, approachable, and down-to-earth personality, with a hands-on, proactive approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CA, CPA) with over 12 years of experience, demonstrating a strong track record in management reporting and finance business partnering.
• Experience in project accounting or controlling for infrastructure projects across APAC markets is highly desirable.
• Strong communicator with the ability to distill complex information into easily digestible formats for key stakeholders.
• Self-starter with a change mindset, able to identify risks and opportunities, communicate them effectively, and implement solutions.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite (Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint) and proficiency in enterprise-grade general ledgers (e.g., Oracle, SAP, MS Dynamics).
• Familiarity with IFRS and the ability to apply technical accounting and tax advice effectively.
• Ability to build strong working relationships across organizational boundaries.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and checking of the Branch’s MAS regulatory reports and make adjustments, where required. Work with Head Office teams and system vendor to maintain an automated solution for MAS Regulatory Reporting.
• Assist with monitoring of daily regulatory ratios and requirements for the branch (e.g. Asset Maintenance Ratio, MLA & MCB) and preparation of the daily regulatory reports.

Job Description:

• Produce and deliver high quality IFRS 17 financial reporting and support actuarial department in performing management assessment on reasonableness of IFRS 17 results, including performance liability, CSM and profit movement and forecast analyse.
