Scope of Work

1. Finance Operations & Control

• Support the finance team on day-to-day financial reporting activities in an effective and timely manner.
• Assist with the preparation of business unit/ division budgets and forecasts
• Assist with the reconciliation of staff & travel expenses claims, ensuring adherence of expense policies & compliance
• Assist with monitoring of AR & AP ageing
• Handle statutory financial reporting including audit and local legislative requirements on a timely and accurate basis
• Assist with the preparation of Quarterly GST filing
• Assist with the preparation of Yearly Tax Filing
• Assist to ensure financial controls are sufficient, in place and maintained in line with company Policies and Procedures
• Assist to update and streamline the company policy, procedures & processes periodically
• Ad hoc administrative work as and when required

1. Financial Modelling, Reporting & Analysis

• Drawing actionable insights (Risks & Opportunities) for key stakeholders including recommendations and proposals
• Identifying cost optimisation opportunities
• Generating new ideas on how reporting can be leveraged better to fulfil organizational requirements
• Analysis of industry trends and competitor strategy
• Assist with the development of financial business models to assess new business opportunities

In this role, you can expect frequent interaction with various departments & business stakeholders, apart from just the finance team. You will need to be comfortable communicating & learning from others but at the same time, also share your own knowledge, ideas & options. Apart from the technical knowledge, you will need to be an inquisitive self-starter who is passionate about learning and creative in problem solving.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• Accounting knowledge and good knowledge of Financial Reporting Standard (FRS)
• Able to commit for a full-time internship of at least 3 months (preferred duration will be 6 months)
• Advanced knowledge of Excel (knowledge in Macro, Power BI etc is a plus)
• Hands-on-experience with accounting software is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills, conscientious, adaptable and resourceful
• Proactive problem solver with a demonstrated willingness to take responsibility for getting things done
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Ability to be collaborative across projects & departments
• Able to demonstrate how you have applied your technical knowledge and skills (financial, analytical and numerical skills) to solve problems, either through your university projects or past internship experience
• Proficiency in English (Oral and written)

Job Description

• Develop and execute non-sales channel customer acquisition strategies/ plans for DCS products and services to grow the respective targeted customer segments/ bases.
• Develop and execute strategies/ plans to grow insurance revenue by exploring additional insurance product partnership.
• Implement frictionless onboarding application for DCS products and services based on the advancement of technology and digitalization, ie virtual card issuance, instant/ same-day application status, digital/ e-signature, leveraging on S’pore - MyInfo, Credit Bureau etc
• Plan and execute monthly lead extraction for insurance partners
• Success in this role requires an understanding of finance product (credit card) and basic understanding of insurance products. Additionally, strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with partners, are essential to achieve the desired outcome.

Job Requirement

• Education: Minimum of diploma or above.
• Industry Experience: Relevant retail banking experience (specifically for credit card).
