Responsibilities

1. Responsible in invoicing related work, ensure all billing activities are well coordinated including coordinate with different department in billing relating inquiries.
2. Generate daily invoices to new customers and monthly invoices to recurring customers.
3. Prepare statement of account (SOA) and send to customers on timely basis.
4. Updating customer database.
5. Assist in preparation of spreadsheets, reports and correspondence as required, carry out reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
6. Perform daily reconciliation of e-payments and off-set against individual invoices.
7. Process Credit Card and GIRO application and liaise with clients/banks for failed deductions.
8. Attend to any billing and payment queries via hotline/inbound email/internal department transfer.
9. Assist in coordinating and resolving internal and external disputes involving account receivables.
10. Other finance ad-hoc assignments.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least ‘N’ / ‘O’ levels / Diploma in Business / Finance / Accountancy

JOB SUMMARY:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role of Finance Director will support the Managing Director to provide leadership in driving profitable growth, ensure execution of the operating plan and unlock commercial and cost minimisation opportunities to further improve the business. The role is a key member of the A-Star Testing Group with responsibility for uplifting finance capabilities to a mature/large cap level.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial Finance

• Shared responsibility with the Managing Director to deliver annual budgets
• Identify commercial and cost rationalisation opportunities.
• Drive the creation of synergies with other companies in the group and track the success against targets
• Manage working capital, with particular focus on DSO improvement in the first 12 months.
• Lead pricing and margin reviews and develop plans that lead to improved profitability.
• Evaluate capital expenditure proposals to ensure sound business decisions which facilitate corporate objectives and assess the results of completed projects against those objectives.

Governance/Compliance

• Ensure adoption of and adherence to global policies including accounting and global compliance policies (delegation of authority, AML, ABC, Sanctions etc.).
• Responsible for the management of all local statutory and tax obligations
• Execute the transition to IFRS for internal reporting (currently under Local GAAP and UK GAAP).
• Ensure annual audit deadlines are met and monthly reporting is reduced to 3 – 4 days.
• Support the implementation of regional treasury/cash management solutions

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Preparation of periodic reporting packs with insight, risk and opportunity assessment for the region.
• Ownership of the annual budget and forecast process identifying risks and opportunities.
• Preparation of business cases for large investments and new opportunities.
• Internal reporting

People

• Provide leadership, direction and management of the company’s finance team including the back off ice in India.
• Reorganise and professionalise the finance team.
• Transition towards a partially centralized finance delivery model.

System Implementation / Process

• Drive local adoption of the Group’s new financial consolidation, reporting and planning platforms.
• Integrate and expand if required the scope of the back office to other companies in the region

QUALIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Business/Finance (or related field)
• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
• 7 years + senior level financial management experience including planning, taxation, compliance and reporting.

We are hiring a Product Finance Head ("PFH") for one of our Agri Trading vertical. This role will be a strategic partner to the business, providing financial stewardship and analytical insights to drive growth. Responsibilities include evaluating operational processes, supporting planning and forecasting and conducting asset and operational control reviews. You will also be responsible for business support in overseas subsidiaries through implementing sound business controls and operational practices. As the PFH, you will oversee complex fiscal reporting activities across regions, assess risks, and manage multiple time zones, including travel to underdeveloped countries.

I. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

(a) Finance & Accounting Operations

• Lead and oversee statutory, tax, and management reporting for the relevant business division and units.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of reports, while maintaining proper accounting, bookkeeping, and system processes.
• Establish and enforce standardized regional controls for Balance Sheet accounts.
• Coordinate internal and external audit reviews within the region.

II. JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

(i) Education background/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounts or its equivalent - ACCA/CPA/CA or equivalent certification.

(ii) Working experience:

• 15 years working experience, including 10 years in commodity sector with cross-border dealings.
• Preference for candidates having some Developing countries’ local exposures including forex
• Successfully led and managed teams at both the headquarters and regional business unit levels.

(iii) Skills:

• Proven track record in strong Finance leadership, preferably in a multi-site, multi-Business Unit environment.
