Job Description

The key scope of supporting the implementation of the Finance Reporting Risk and Control framework through responsibilities such as:

• End-to-End Review of Regulatory Reporting Process
• Establishing Regulatory Reporting Controls by developing appropriate controls for downstream regulatory reporting processes based on risk assessments
• Collaboration with Finance & Actuarial Teams to identify, mitigate, and monitor key risks in their operations
• Providing effective governance, challenging, and reporting on key risks and controls within Finance.
• Ensuring the ongoing effectiveness of key controls by developing and executing a monitoring plan, tracking progress, reporting results, and implementing necessary action plans
• Monitoring the timely resolution of identified issues and evaluating the adequacy of remediation actions

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Accountancy, Finance, Economics etc.)
• Hands on reporting or audit experience in Insurance industry
• Knowledge of IFRS4 & IFRS17

Job Responsibilities

As General Insurance specialist within the telesales team, you will be fully involved in introducing various insurance plans to meet the financial protection needs of UOB’s existing customers. Specific responsibilities include:

• 
  
• To actively make outbound calls to present General Insurance products (Hospital/Accident/Critical Illness) to UOB customers
• To pro-actively highlight the unique selling features of every insurance plan
• Understand customer’s concern and address their needs through active listening
• Handle customer’s objection professionally and to conduct sales call in a persuasive and engaging manner with customers to ensure closure
• Strong ability and confidence to cross-sell (e.g. a 2nd insurance plan)
• Consistently meet and exceed sales targets set by management monthly
• Apply diligence and integrity in the selling process to ensure sales calls conducted in accordance to the bank’s quality assurance standards

Job Requirements:

• Highly persuasive and comfortable with handling customer’s objections
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment to consistently meet or exceed sales targets
• Strong ability to transit from selling one product to another with ease
• Willing to learn and apply new techniques to improve skillsets
• Preferably certified with BCP and PGI

Responsibilities:

• Schedule and coordinate the Director's appointments, meetings, and events, ensuring efficient time management.
• Manage emails, phone calls, and messages, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and meeting agendas; maintain accurate records and filing systems.
• Act as the point of contact for clients, assisting with inquiries and ensuring excellent client service.
• Assist in coordinating team activities, meetings, and training sessions as directed by the Director.
• Organize travel plans, including booking flights, accommodation, and preparing itineraries.
• Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
• Manage office supplies, update databases, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Director to support business operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in business administration or equivalent
• At least 1 – 2 years of relevant administration experience
• Candidates with experience in the insurance industry will be highly preferred
• Good organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
