Purpose of the Job

Originate and promote Aviation Finance (‘AF’) business to customers in the Asia Pacific (ex. Japan ) region.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic

To originate and promote AF business externally to customers in the APAC region. Internally, to grow and promote AF as a global sector coverage team with internal stakeholders

Financial

To structure, originate and execute deals by working closely with respective MUFG branches and other relative divisions to achieve team profit target as well as applicable KPIs.

Customer

Manage and develop relationships with existing and prospective AF’s clients as sector coverage, with a view to originating mandates to lead debt issuance and arranging mandate with clients including but not limited to warehouse financings, portfolio financings, PDP financing, ABS-type transactions, JOLCO financing, and airline structured bonds (EETC private/public) as well as cross selling MUFG’s full product suite, such as global markets, trade and transaction banking, DCM and deposits.

People

To work and grow as a team. To provide guidance to junior staff to further enhance each individual’s and team’s potential and capabilities. Liaise and manage relationships with various internal stakeholders and contribute to GAFO as a global business platform.

Other / Control

To ensure that the transactions' risk profile fit the Bank's requirements and provide in-depth analysis and assessment of transactional risks or other related aspects of the transactions and obtain necessary credit approvals from Head Office. To monitor and ensure credit compliance for executed transactions that has not been transferred to GAFO Portfolio Management team (AIBD- AF-PM).To comply with relevant MAS regulations and applicable MUFG group policies.

Job Requirements:

• Degree Qualified
• Minimum 7 years’ work experience in banking industry, aircraft leasing, consultancy firms, or similar industry
• Experience in commercial Aviation Finance
• Proven track record of closing deals
• Well organised with an ability to work within tight timeframes and at prioritising multiple tasks
• Attention to details and accuracy is essential
• Numerate with strong computer skills including thorough knowledge of MS Office programs
• Good team player and capable of working with cross-border teams
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills across all levels of an organisation – both oral and written

The Role

Reporting to the APAC Head of Finance as a key senior finance leader, they will oversee the fund finance function and collaborate closely with the Real Estate acquisition, asset management, and other functional teams on fund operations and management, financial reporting, and quarterly valuations. Drive finance transformation efforts and implement technology-based improvements.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you should have the relevant academic qualifications with at least 15 years’ experience in a similar fund finance capacity with established and reputable real estate or investment management firms. Job Scope: Business Analyst (2 headcount / 12 month contract)

• Collate and manage all the details regarding the CCTR application for the assigned business vertical – information could span from details of systems interfacing, content of the various data being posted, data held within the application, etc.
• Support the user community on business queries and guidance on better usage of the system on daily BAU activities.
• Clear understanding of the scope of the project, the changes associated, and support the Project Manager in impact assessment. Clearly document the rationale for projects where no impact is assessed.
• For projects where there is an impact, play a governance role in ensuring that the design (in terms of the level of information required from source to core processing) is aligned with the strategic data flow strategy.
• Collate and rationalize all stakeholders’ requirements and walkthrough these requirements with the team.
• Actively partner with the team in the solutioning process to ensure that the business solutions being implemented are thought through from a long-term, standardization, design for no operations, front-end configuration perspective.
• Assess and propose appropriate testing approaches and sign-off criteria to stakeholders and get concurrence.
• Overall UAT management in terms of UAT timeline, batch run/re-run, and managing the tester’s testing results.
• Prepare proper documentation on the data flow, design, business solutioning, and testing approach in accordance with a predefined template.
• Manage end-to-end project life cycle, including deployment plans and live verification with users.
