DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversight of Financial Lines product offering (D&O, EPL, PI, PTL, Fidelity, Cyber)
• Lead the International regions in the implementation of the strategies within the agreed business plan.

• Maintain strategy for reinsurance protection, aligned with business plans, for approval by the underwriting leadership.
• Monitor accumulations and aggregations against international business plans and reinsurance treaties and take any necessary corrective action.
• Maintain a close working relationship with internal stakeholders (Claims, Actuarial, Operations, BDM)
• Develop existing and new distribution channels in Asia Pacific region
• Handling Financial Lines underwriting referrals from across the region to ensure consistency in risk selection
• Work closely with managers and underwriters within the Asia Pacific team to grow the portfolio successfully and profitably
• Work with Senior Management and Human Resources to develop organizational capability and identity, recruit and develop people to drive its long-term ambitions.
• Embed and maintain a culture of ethical behavior to support the Conduct Risk Framework.
• Participate in external events when required as a representative of the company
• Assist Local and Regional Heads with budgets, reports and Reinsurance Treaty requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor (Finance and Accounting degree are preferable)
• Advanced knowledge of insurance and risk management principles
• Minimum 15 years Financial Lines insurance industry experience in underwriting and/or broking
• High level of knowledge of the Asia Pacific insurance and Financial Lines market
• Ability to work independently and also ability to work well within a team environment
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Good planning and organizational skills
• Advanced analytical, numerical and literacy skills
• Proficient with computer, and experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other industry related
