Finance Duties :

- Handle full set of accounts.

- Timely monthly accounts closing (English & Chinese version).

- Liaising with internal/external teams to obtain accurate information for monthly closing.

- Prepare in house various monthly Chinese reports.

- Prepare monthly audit schedules.

- Assist in annual audit.

- Quarterly GST preparation & submission and reconcile GST report.

- Maintain fixed assets register-new purchase & disposal.

- Liaise with bankers on all bank accounts & Finance related matter such as Giro, remittance, online banking etc.

- Local & overseas Bankers’ guarantee application.

- Full Spectrum of Account Receivables & prepare receipt vouchers -eg: statement of account, debit note.

- Monitor Debtors accounts: identify outstanding and uncollected receivables (reminders, disputes and doubtful accounts)

- Prepare and submit export insurance application & claim when customer default payment.

- Full Spectrum of Account payables - eg: purchases ,Travel expense and Staff claim entry, credit note.

- Monitor supplier accounts: reconciliation and cheque or remittance.

- Collates and verifies inter-companies’ balances.

- Prepare monthly journals.

- You are also expected to assist the Manager on accounts-related duties as and when required.

Admin Duties:

- Collect & distribute incoming mails.

- Assist in making overseas travel arrangements such as booking of air tickets, visa and hotel accommodation, etc.

- Assist in replenishing stock for office pantry.

- Assist in Registration of courses.

- Assist in liaising with relevant parties on office maintenance.

Requirements:

- Qualification: Diploma in accounting/ ACCA level 2

- Proficient in MS office- Excel, Word, Vlookup, etc.

- With knowledge of Oracle accounting is an advantageous.

- Ability to work as a team & independently.

- Strong time management and organisation skills.

- Strong sense of responsibility to complete tasks within deadline.

- Task oriented, conscientious in documentation.

- At least 3 years of working experience in the related field as Full set account.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily/Weekly/Quarterly

• Prepare PB Financial Performance (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly)

Monthly

• Bi-Monthly forecast of PB Financial Performance for submission to Management/ FICON in accordance to stipulated timeline.
• Streamline the PB reporting process in order to prepare the required reports efficiently and accurately
• Preparation of CPM File – Loans, Deposits and Fees to support the bi-weekly forecast of Net Interest Income
• To work closely with relevant stakeholders, and partnering PB business units by providing value-added inputs and advices.
• Preparation of Income by BU including the reconciliation from Local Book to Performance Book. Understand the various drivers resulting in the differences between Local Book to Performance Book.
• Assist to provide variances analysis on the Financial Performance of PB/CB
• Assist to prepare and track the Business Units performance versus the Budget/Plan, and advise accordingly on each unit performance to the Chief Executive Officer of the Branch.
• Assist in monitoring of actual OPEX against plan, and communicate to the respective HOD on the OPEX usage on a monthly basis.
• Main contact person for PB businesses in providing valuable inputs to stakeholders queries.

Quarterly

• Prepare the power-point slides to support the FICON presentation during the quarterly PB meeting.

Annually

• To assist in the Yearly Budget and 5-year forecast for PB, and assist in the preparing of bank-wide budgets for the OPEX and CAPEX
• To assist in preparing the disclosures section of the Annual Financial Statements
• To assist in PB replacement system project, without any hiccups or show-stopper
• To assist in any other ad-hoc projects driven by Finance & Accounting Team
• To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the superior from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong Financial accounting knowledge skills
• Knowledge and understanding of the SAP and FCC system
• Knowledge and understanding of Banking Products and their accounting treatments
• Knowledge and understanding of Regulatory, International Financial Reporting Standards, and internal management reporting requirements

 Perform daily GL & reconciling differences.

 Bank and intercompany reconciliations, performing timely investigations and follow-up on outstanding transactions.

 Perform month-end closing of books, raising journal entries for monthly revenue and accruals, amortization, depreciation and other recurring items.

 Manage the Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable process including booking of entries and payment, ensure the local GST is properly accounted for, including debit and credit notes.

 Prepare audit schedules for external auditors and liaison with auditors.

 Assist in preparing returns for corporate income tax, GST and other indirect taxes are submitted, payments made on time and all relevant regulations are complied with.

 Assist in other accounts work related task and cover other colleagues when necessary.

We are looking for a self-motivated Finance and HR Executive. You have the chance to be one of our core team to implement systems and procedures to corportise our business.

Our business includes a retail segment with 2 retail chains selling fast moving consumer goods and religious products, a property rental segment and a direct selling segment.

Responsibilities:

Accounting, General Admin Functions

• Responsible for the full set accounts and day-to-day accounting.
• Perform bookkeeping general ledger, AP, cash management, and bank reconciliation
• Ensure all accounting records are kept up-to-date and maintained promptly and accurately
• Handle all regulatory submissions including GST returns
• Process payments to suppliers
• Liaise with the external auditor and tax agents
• Report to the Directors and handle ad-hoc assignments.

HR Functions

• Responsible for full spectrum of HR function
• Responsible in payroll process, claims expenses, and other related matters
• Manage recruitment cycle including sourcing, arrange for interview, and salary proposal
• Process Work pass application, renewable and cancellation
• Coordinate with insurance agents with regards to cancellation, renewal, new coverage of insurances

Requirements:

• ACCA/Diploma in Accounting or equivalent with 2 years of relevant work experience
• Possess knowledge in GST, Local Tax Regulations, and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS)
• Self -motivated. well organized, meticulous, and able to multi-task
• Ability to converse and liaise with external English and Chinese speaking vendors and suppliers

5. Conduct quarterly and adhoc trainings to the various sales channels
6. Ensure that the daily operations run efficiently and smoothly, including commission payouts
7. Work on reports to review sales production and incentives of FA Reps
8. Assist in system and process enhancement projects to improve overall operational efficiency
9. Ensure projects and processes are in compliance with MAS and company’s regulations

Requirements:

1. Diploma/Tertiary qualifications in any field
2. At least 5 years’ experience in life insurance industry
3. Certifications in CMFAS Modules 5, 9, 9A & Health Insurance are preferred
4. Background in life insurance operations will be advantageous
