Role purpose

To perform actuarial, financial modelling and catastrophe risk analyses to support Miller Singapore in winning, placing and monitoring complex insurance and reinsurance risks in Asia markets.

Role deliverables

• Model the probability distributions of the gross / ceded / net underwriting results of an (re)insurance client.

Job Scope

• Responsible in all distribution and/or product related matters for the Wealth and Personal Banking – Insurance (WPB Insurance) business in Singapore.
• Legal work on distribution matters primarily involves providing legal advice relating to the sale and distribution of WPB Insurance products through third party channels (such as the bank, the tied agency force, bancassurance partners, brokers and independent financial advisors). YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The role will require an entrepreneurial approach and willingness to use initiative but also a strong grounding in M&A, with at least some understanding of how risk is apportioned between parties in the transaction documents via the warranties, indemnities and limitations.
• With access to, and support from Howden M&A’s wider team’s extensive skill set, the successful candidate will:

Job Responsibilities

Tax

• Provide support for the tax components of Group direct and indirect taxes, ensuring adherence to local country tax mandates.
