DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Oversee and present accurate, timely, and consolidated financial statements and reports for the SEA region, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and reporting requirements.

• Lead the regional budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes, collaborating with Onitsuka Tiger SEA Regional Director and the Business Management Department of Onitsuka Tiger HQ to establish financial goals and monitor performance against budgets.

• Manage and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes across the region, ensuring accuracy and consistency in journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactions.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :

Team Introduction

Finance BP - TikTok and TNS is a sub-department of Finance. You will be empowered to be the key contributor to ByteDance's continuing success. This role is based out of our Singapore office supporting APAC region with a focus on South East Asia primarily. The finance business partner team aims to improve management efficiency, reduce financial risks and strengthen budget control by providing business analysis and management reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations and act as a strategic partner to the content partnership, operations, and marketing functions teams globally.
• Work closely with the business team and strategy team, provide optimized financial solutions or advice to support business decisions.
• Prepare managerial financial reports and rolling forecasts, track business financial performance and perform related financial analysis to ensure that the planning process provides an efficient and effective tool for the leadership team.
• Provide financial models, analysis and support for commercial strategies.
• Manage the development and execution of the financial plan for the company.
• Complete the cost / benefit analysis and communicate key drivers / inputs to support business decisions.
• Conduct budget control, involve in business operations and review project applications.
• Build and optimize financial processes, related systems and financial modeling to improve efficiency and control business risk.
• Perform special ad hoc projects and analysis on a frequent basis.
• Approximately 30% of travel is required for this role across South East Asia; mainly travelling to Indonesia / Thailand / Vietnam to work with stakeholders based in these countries.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, finance business partnering or related strategic finance experience.
• Experience from fortune 500 global companies with past experience collaborating across global timezones as the role requires collaboration with global business / finance teams across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
• Regional (multiple countries in APAC) marketing and social media-related content financial management and strategic partner experience are necessary as this finance business partner is responsible for the regional marketing and content team.
• CPA or CFA or CMA qualification is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Media, high growth tech start-up experience and advertising experience preferred.
• Social media product financial management experience is preferred.
• Management consulting background is preferred.
• Excellent data analytics skills including proficiency with SQL preferred.

Role and Responsibilities

Business finance management and reporting

Billing Tracking

· Process invoice for payment by furnishing tracking summary (source of budget, past utilisation, total billed to date, budget balance) and necessary supporting documents (PO, approval paper, project charter, TPK computation) for validation of each invoice.

· Raise e-sundry to claim back from source of budget payer for any prior payment made.

Budget and utilization monitoring and reporting

· Provide and furnish up to date budget utilisation and balance details to stakeholders in real time (PMO, institution finance) to facilitate seeking approval for budget and accounting purposes.

· Perform annual year end accrual and closing.

· Submit and update monthly utilisation and projection reports to cluster with supporting details and justification for significant variance.

· Analyse, categorise and submit annual overall IT spent report to Ministry.

Funding and utilization monitoring and reporting

· Prepare and submit claim by verifying items billed are in accordance to approved budget and scope to get claim back timely and fully.

· Project and prepare cash flow status on funded projects through close monitoring of past and future charges.

· Submit government funded project progress report through working closely with Institution Business Analysts and project managers

Budgeting and Billing

· Facilitate and assist on annual budgeting exercise to plan budget under your charge.

· Prepare work plan documents for sign off

· Liaise with Project finance on triggering of OPEX charges billing.

· Monitor, trigger and track institution services charges

Others

· Assist cluster Business Finance Lead in provision of data, reporting whenever necessarily

· Key liaison person to connect between CIO with institution finance and GITO team pertaining to charges and finance related process and queries.
