FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Validate and issue margin calls for Futures and Distributed Control System clients and ensure calls are met in a timely manner
• Ensure timely and accurate settlement of all margin movements
• Day to day break management to ensure the integrity in margin calculations as well as books and records
• Working with Clearing Houses to ensure margin calls are covered
• Optimize the collateral with Clearing Houses by ensuring optimal buffers
• Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders
• Active involvement in projects and initiatives including enhancing the team’s process and controls

Power Logistics are responsible for managing all aspects of physical deliveries of Power for the Japanese Power business. The team partners very closely with the Trading business to assist them in managing any risks which arise from our physical power trading. Additionally, the team partners with Sales, Legal, Technology and other internal stakeholders to on-board new physical transactions, markets and products.

Job Responsibilities

• Managing all physical power deliveries via internal systems, external vendors and external platforms
• Specifically, bidding at JEPX and submission of scheduling plans to OCCTO
• Be our primary contact with various external counterparties
• Ensuring we meet regulatory reporting requirements set by METI
• Ensuring regulatory changes are managed to ensure continued market participation
• Partner with Technology to further increase automation and enhance systems and processes

Preferred Qualification

• Ideal candidate will have experience operating in the Japanese Power market
• Business to native level in both written and spoken Japanese to cover the Japan power market. This requires operational support and interfacing with Japanese institutions (METI, JEPX, OCCTO) as well as Japanese counterparties in the trade process

• Offer technical expertise and professional guidance while providing efficient support to all business units on matters related to trade finance.
• Collaborate with the Treasury Team to manage banking relationships in trade finance, ensuring the best possible pricing for trade finance services.
• Assist with daily trade operations across business units, handling tasks such as Letters of Credit (LC), confirmations, export bill discounting, open account receivables, and monitoring payment deadlines.
• Identify and engage with confirming/negotiating banks for Export LCs, coordinating with banks and business units to manage line reservations.
• Work closely with business units to explore opportunities to reduce working capital through receivable discounting, credit insurance, and inventory financing strategies.
• Maintain strong communication with trade operators and banks regarding LC terms and other trade finance-related issues, such as LC amendments and Letters of Indemnity (LOI).
• Coordinate with the Global Trade Finance Desk in Geneva for global trade finance matters.
• Ensure the resolution of discrepancies flagged by banks.
• Generate management reports for all trade finance activities using various systems.
• Provide support for cash management and treasury operations as a backup role.

Job Requirements:

• Master’s / Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Finance or Chartered Accountant
• Extensive understanding of the trade finance market
• Technical knowledge of Trade Finance Instruments like LCs/ SBLCs/ BGs etc
• 5 to 10 years’ experience in a corporate treasury environment (Commodity Trading Company is a plus) or in similar role.

Job Description

• As a member of Private Bank Business Risk & Control Management (BRCM) team, you will play an important role in exercising risk oversight over front office activities through quality assurance checks.
• Specifically, this role will focus on conducting quality assurance through regular/thematic testing and ongoing post transaction reviews. You may be required to drive risk and control initiatives across Private Bank to implement new regulatory requirements or controls enhancement.

This role entails:

▪ Post trade surveillance (tape listening, email surveillance) for client accounts.

▪ Develop subject matter expertise on investment products and related regulatory

requirements and Front office controls (e.g. Investment Suitability / Anti-Fraud).

▪ Identify root causes and propose corrective actions to regularise process related exceptions.

▪ Interact with Front Office staff to provide testing results, analyse disputes and conduct

reassessments whenever necessary.

▪ Participates in discussions with business and risk partners on risk/process issues (e.g.

Compliance, COO functions, Internal/External Audit).

▪ Recommends and implements enhancements to improve effectiveness and efficiency of

Controls Framework and related processes.

Requirements

As a Finance Executive, we rely on you to

• Assist in preparation. reviewing and finalization of monthly full set of accounts and FOS reports, include prepare month end journals at hotel level.
• Assist to prepare and submit reports to regional & HQ, according to timeline given.
