About Our Client

Our client is an European MNC that specializes in manufacturing and distributing electronic components, and has presence in parts of Europe, US and Asia. They are looking for a Regional Finance Transformation Lead to drive finance excellence across their Singapore and China offices and plants. The Regional Finance Transformation Lead will drive and execute financial transformation initiatives, working closely with the local Country Directors and Finance teams to improve financial processes, systems, and operations globally. The ideal candidate would be a Finance Controller or Director who has experiences in finance transformation, project management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders across all levels.

Job Description

As a standalone Regional Finance Transformation Controller you will be responsible for leading and executing the financial transformation initiatives for the organization. You will work closely with the local Managing Directors and local Finance Teams to identify opportunities for improving their finance operational processes and systems within Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the financial transformation projects to achieve measurable business outcomes and benefits
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our financial processes, systems, and operations
• Identify areas of improvement in our financial processes, systems, operations
• Recommend and implement changes to achieve efficiency and effectiveness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of transformation initiatives with the overall strategic goals of the organization
• Work closely with the CFO and other key business stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving financial operations globally
• Conduct analysis to identify opportunities to improve financial performance and provide recommendations for process improvement and optimization
• Develop and implement plans to mitigate risks associated with financial transformation initiatives
• Monitor and report progress on financial transformation initiatives to stakeholders and senior management
• Assist with the budgeting process by setting up cost prices and linking them to markets/customers
• Serve as a finance subject matter expert for the ERP system and support financial operations across the region

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or any related field
• Over ten years of experience in finance operations, finance change management, process improvement or related roles
• Current or past experience working in a Finance Controlling/Directorship or Head of Finance capacity will be highly beneficial
• Industry experience within manufacturing and plant controllership
• Strong understanding of financial processes, systems and operations
• Prior experience in regional business decision making for large-scale processes
• Excellent project management skills with experience leading transformation projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good exposure with manufacturing and supply chain processes
• Past experience working with ERP systems, specifically SAP
• Navision experience with BI tools will be highly beneficial

Responsibilities

• To conduct a professional, consultative financial analysis and profiling session with customers to meet their financial needs/objectives.
• To foster and deepen customer relationships by providing regular market information updates and trend analysis on local and international financial products (Malaysia market)
• In consultation with the PB team manager/branch manager/ PTL, draw up monthly plans for achieving/exceeding sales targets to meet new business and customer acquisition goals.
• To participate in marketing and promotional activities for customer acquisition.

Requirements

• 3 years of relevant experience in relationship management within the financial services space.
• Understands the core concepts, principles, processes or procedures of Wealth Management and Banking.
• Knowledge and experience in Indonesia market is an advantage.

FP&A/Financial Manager

Management Reporting and Financial Operations

· Lead and manage the Finance team on a day-to-day financial operations and the business’s overall financial and accounting aspects.

· Ensure the financials are prepared in accordance to the Accounting Standards.

· Responsible for timely monthly/year-end closing.

Business Performance Analysis

· Analyze profit-and-loss by clients and regions.
Develop and provide meaningful reports, statistical analysis, and presentations for Management’s decision making, on monthly basis.

· Identifying trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement.

· Perform financial modelling and data analytics on project basis and make recommendations where appropriate.

· Identify potential risks and opportunities that can impact the Company’s financial health.

Others

Ensure compliance with Singapore regulations (VAT Filings, etc.), and IFRS required filings.

Coordinate annual statutory audit and liaise with auditors.

Oversight of transfer pricing compliance and related strategies.

Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.

Work closely with Senior Management on financial matters.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management practices.

3. In-depth knowledge of Singapore financial regulations and accounting processes, including transfer pricing regulations.

4. Experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

5. Attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
