This position performs all duties in Accounts Payable (AP) and HR support functions.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Input and process completed purchases in the accounting system, after matching and validating suppliers’ invoices, purchase orders and other supporting documents.
• Process and prepare payments by cheque/TT/GIRO to vendors.
• Consolidate and prepare petty cash payments monthly.
• Handle all enquiries relating to AP.
• Update and maintain master record of vendors in the accounting system.
• Reconcile AP Creditors Accounts in GL.
• Update leasing and hire purchase schedules.
• Prepare the provisions, accruals, prepayments and clearing accounts monthly.
• Process month-end closing of AP module in accounting system.
• Generate monthly AP reports.
• Prepare a statement of unpresented cheques.
• Assist in preparation of audit schedules.
• Handle banking matters.
• Provide effective HR Business partnering support to all staff in HR matters and issues.
• Effectively utilize HRIS to record, update employees’ data.
• Provide excellent customer service in responding to enquiries effectively and efficiently.
• Maintain employees’ data and files and ensure they are kept up to date.
• Provide support on the recruitment process including shortlisting of candidates, organization of interviews, administration of new work pass, documents submission, verification of documents.
• Prepare documents for onboarding and offboarding.
• Assist in the organizing of staff events and ordering of hampers.
• Assist to collate data for Group Insurance renewal.
• Assist on ad-hoc duties / projects as requested by the Director, Finance & Manager, HR.

Who are we looking for:

• You should possess a Diploma in Accountancy or related field
• You should ideally possess 3 years of experience in accounting
• You should possess strong knowledge in SAP, Microsoft Excel and Google Suites
• You should possess strong interpersonal and communications skills
• You should possess excellent critical thinking and be able to work at ease with people from different cultural backgrounds
• You should be capable of handling confidential information with discretion
• Eagerness to explore and learn in the field of HR

What you will be working on?

1. Support the Digital Communications and Engagement team in creating digital content for existing platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Tik Tok. This includes graphic design, illustration, animation, photography and videography.
2. Liaise and work with vendors to produce social content in the form of videos, photos and social posts.
3. Provide support for administrative tasks as assigned based on organisational needs such as notetaking, conducing site recces, archival.

• Minimum Degree in Communication or Marketing or relevant discipline.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist the CFO to engage and manage the finance function for regional sites, with the support of a finance executive.
2. Work closely with the Country Finance Managers (CFMs) of the respective countries to ensure that country finance teams deliver to the expectation of HQ finance.
3. Ensure that the countries meet the management & regulatory deadlines – reporting, audit, filing annual returns, tax filing, GST, etc.
4. Rollout & implement the group corporate governance policy to the sites.
5. Strengthen the finance team by providing support, training, help, and engagement with the CFM.
6. Perform monthly reviews of the financial reports and performance of the countries. Give inputs to the countries for improvements.
7. Setup of new sites in the region.
8. Perform audit of the region (compliance to Corporate Governance Policy).
9. Deal with any regional issues – foreign exchange, tax, transfer pricing agreements, management fees, etc.
10. Put in place a master documentation of the policies and procedures governing the countries in the region and ensure consistency of practice among different sites/countries in the region.
11. Engage with the wider finance team to come up with best practices for the whole group.
12. Implement these practices in all sites.
13. Ensure that all initiatives from HQ are adopted by the region.
14. Perform business analysis for specific business units.
15. Support exercises including budgeting, cost cutting, etc.
16. Perform other job related duties as and when requested by superior.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Degree or equivalent in Accounting / Finance / ACCA
2. At least 5 years of experience in Accounting / Financial Reporting for countries in the Asia Pacific region
3. Able to work independently with high attention to details.Tact and ability to interact with staff and management at all levels in order to achieve mutually acceptable resolution of incidents
4. Require determination to succeed in the implementation of processes in the face of some reluctant parties
