Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Analyse monthly financial results and business drivers and provide supporting commentary on the variances between actual and budget/forecast
• Manage and prepare the annual budgeting process and analyse economic indicators and market trends to prepare forecast.
• Partner the business units to formulate key strategies and recommendations to drive growth and profitability
• Provide market and business insights and support business on financial modelling for business proposal or decision making
• Assist in implementing governance and internal controls initiatives, including strengthening current internal controls and improve the Finance department’s processes and systems
• Perform the CAPEX and Profitability evaluation on projects, ensuring cost efficiency and value creation are top priorities.
• Assist in providing guidance on intercompany charges as well as transfer pricing policies
• Prepare and create monthly and quarterly forecast reports for both internal management and Group reporting purposes.
• Actively involve in the FP&A team's efforts in fostering business partnerships and managing enterprise risk.
• Coordinating the review of legal documents with business units and the Group Legal department.
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and tax requirements,
• Create, test and review functional requirements and refine financial operating systems, where necessary
• Building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and financial institutions to support SP Group's financial objectives.
• Actively participate in the Kaizen initiatives for FP&A team
• Any other ad hoc duties as assigned

As the Finance Manager, you will support the finance department by performing various accounting tasks. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the financial operations within the organization. The Finance Manager will report directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with audits and budget preparations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management.
• Prepare financial analysis and reports as required.
• Prepare revenue projections and assist in forecasting expenditures.
• Assist with preparing and monitoring budgets.
• Review expenses, payroll records, and other financial documents as assigned.
• Update financial data in databases to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
• Maintain related supporting documentation to meet legal regulations and requirements.
• Coordinate and communicate with external parties such as tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, and tax authorities as necessary.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the finance team to enhance performance and productivity.
• Develop, implement and manage financial planning processes in alignment with company goals.
• Assist with other accounting projects as directed by Management.

Qualifications

• A solid foundation with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus.
• 5+ years in the accounting fast lane, with a preference for those who've navigated the automotive sector.
• A tech-savvy navigator, proficient in the latest accounting software and MS Office.
• Expertise in accounting principles and regulations, with the ability to apply them at high speeds.
• Strategic vision with the analytical skills to dodge financial potholes.
• Leadership qualities that inspire and accelerate team performance.
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word etc.)
• Proactive, exercise flexibility, able to multi-task and work independently
