Mission of the Department: The Finance department in WWF Singapore is to provide donors, stakeholders, and business partners with sound financial and internal control and governance in alignment with the Singapore Charities Act, Financial Reporting Standards, and WWF policies. Major Functions: Deliver timely and accurate financial information and business performance insights for the operations of fundraising and conservation activities of WWF Singapore. Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Finance Operations Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Manage finance operations with two direct reports, supervising and mentoring staff to ensure productivity, professionalism, and performance.
• Drive the standardization of operational processes within the Finance Department.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

• Ensure timely monthly financial close, including the preparation of financial reports and schedules.
• Ensure reporting compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines, staying updated on accounting best practices and regulatory changes.
• Oversee the timely and accurate completion of all financial audits and tax filings, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with the Head of Finance to deliver on the compliance agenda.

Business Partnering and Strategic Support

• Support the annual budget preparation and monthly reforecast exercises.
• Partner with fundraising teams on performance reviews, reforecasts, and budgeting.
• Provide guidance for the department's digital transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation and procure-to-pay processes.

Internal Controls and Governance

• Strengthen internal controls and governance practices, including handling internal audits and implementing recommended improvements.
• Collaborate on governance initiatives to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

Tax, Treasury, and Financial Matters

• Manage tax compliance, cash flow, treasury operations, and other related financial responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit organization.
• Strong understanding of non-profit accounting principles, fund accounting, and grant management a plus
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

Our client, an international commodity firm, is looking to hire a Trade Finance professional to support Trade Finance Operations and Treasury team. The scope includes bank negotiation, reviewing import/export LCs, LC confirmation, and adhoc support for cash management and treasury operations.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• 5+ years of working experience in Trade Finance and Corporate Treasury from Banks and/or Commodity Trading Firms with strong knowledge of LCs/ SBLCs/ BGs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with international stakeholders. Fluency in Chinese is required to liaise with key stakeholders in China.
• Able to work independently under tight deadlines and constraint
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Master’s / Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Finance or Chartered Accountant

Play a key role in the evolution of the BSO organisation and will be pivotal in the BSO Roadmap initiative, where we aim to develop controlling, planning and business partnering capabilities within the BSO to further elevate the finance services we provide to the LEGO Group.

Do you have what it takes:

• BA degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance or related
• 5 years of financial controlling and/or finance business partnering experience
• Challenge status quo: Constructively question how things are done regarding current processes, team meetings, team and work environments, etc. Being not satisfied with “business as usual” but seek to improve processes and ways of working
• Finance data analysis: Understand accounting and financial concepts and you are robust in financial analysis, using data from several sources to support decision making
• Presentation skills: Prepare and present complex information to own team and internal/external collaborators
• Problem/issue identification & management: Identify problems/issues and generate recommended solutions and put preventative measures in place for future. You can also resolve day-to-day problems/issues independently
• Customer service culture: Being customer-focused, and bring the collaborators’ viewpoints into service delivery, problem solving and operational improvements
• Strong Excel skills, SAP, PowerBI preferred
• Tight-knit collaboration skills, comfortable with navigating change and ambiguity
• Ability to lead up, laterally and downwards
• Ability to interact with collaborators in Shanghai in their local language
