• Manage interior design team by providing concept and best practice to interior design work;
• Prepare quotation and propose some available material for the clients;
• Follow up with interior design team and site controlling team to check up project progressive based on project schedule;
• Prepare and update project schedule for each project for project progressive monitoring;
• Prepare BOQ of each project and method statement;
• Work with sub-contractor to ensure that the given tasks are completed by schedule;
• Conduct site visit to see the actual completed work vs prepared schedule, progressive project;
• Check ordered material with its specification;
• Provide technical support to interior design team, site controlling team, electricity team, and sub-contractor;
• Make payment to sub-contractor based on contract and team of payment;
• Prepare weekly report to design manager;
• Other tasks assigned by line manager.

We are seeking a talented individual to take up the Finance Director, Special Projects role in our Special Projects team. You will be responsible for process improvement, project coordination and consultative oversight to Gain City Group of Companies.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in the reviewing of finance processes and organisation, identifying opportunities to enhance finance partnering and reduce transactional effort to deliver an organisation with improved efficiency and effectiveness.
• Facilitate delivery of continuous improvement projects in Finance, system and process changes.
• Provide inputs into performance management and metrics analysis to support proactive management of the business.
• Engage across the business to ensure strategic, margin improvement initiatives delivered in line with commitments.
• Prepare ad hoc strategic and financial analysis as required.
• Collaborating with business executives to improve Gain City’s financial performance.
• Ensure an outside-in view is considered for all projects, incorporating best-in-class processes and performance.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance or Accounting
• At least 5 years of progressive finance experience including FP&A and Controller experience
• Ability to develop relationships across senior leadership team in order to gain trust and influence decision making
• Ability to lead with integrity and serve as an effective change agent
• Knowledge of accounting, financial, inventory, and payroll systems required
• Strong strategic / budget development, planning, and analytical ability
• Excellent understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
• Demonstrated success in process improvement and technology implementations in financial and accounting functions
• Demonstrated success in cost management/reduction efforts
• Multi-store retail, ecommerce, and consumer goods experience preferred
• Passion for building and leading teams and development of talent
• Ability to interpret, communicate and present financial information in a clear and concise manner

This is a 6 month contractual role

Responsible for the Accounts Receivable (AR) function (SAP)

•  Handles billing and settlement process, including the reconciliation of receipts
•  Ensure invoices and credit notes are processed and issued in an accurate and timely manner
•  Attend to queries on invoices and billings as required; include with follow ups with internal and external parties
•  Ensure accurate and timely closing of revenue and doubtful debt provisioning
•  Prepare and review monthly AR Reports/ schedules and ensure that detailed analysis is provided
•  Raise inter-company billing and monitor aging
•  Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts receivable process identifying areas of performance

Equipment Maintenance and Support:

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment, such as laundry machines, dishwashers, and other appliances.
• Assist in inventory management, including receiving, storing, and distributing supplies.
• Report equipment malfunctions or damages to the appropriate personnel.

• Carry out maintenance on all restaurant equipment and records
• Manage and oversee all storage supplies for the restaurant
• Supervise every kitchen and dining room activity to ensure customer satisfaction always
• Schedule activities (including shifts) for the restaurant’s staff according to the restaurant’s standards or guidelines
• Review employee performance record and provide training to help improve their (employees) performance, when necessary
• Make sure that the restaurant attains every form of licensing requirement, like liquor licenses, and quickly attend to repairs that have to be made within the restaurant.
