The Company

Our client, a leading not-for-profit organization, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager / Accountant to manage disbursements, bookkeeping, and annual audits. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with Singapore’s regulatory requirements and internal financial controls. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Finance Director and Executive team to maintain accurate financial records, oversee audits, and support the organization’s financial operations in line with industry standards.

The Role

• Prepare/review audited financial statements in accordance with the applicable Financial Reporting Standards including FRS 116.
• Liaise with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
• Oversee the annual audit process and ensure all necessary documentation is prepared for the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
• Ensure compliance with financial and accounting regulations, standards, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with client’s Corporate Services provider to manage internal bookkeeping, accounts, and disbursements (payment of invoices and staff claims).
• Prepare annual budget reports for the Treasurer and department heads.
• Oversee the administration of reimbursements, invoice payments, and the preparation of expense reports.
• Assist the Finance Director in preparing materials for Finance Committee meetings and presentations.
• Perform monthly revenue reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Review and manage the monthly account closing process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Oversee the daily financial operations to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS and CAS) and governance frameworks.

Your Profile

• CPA or ACCA preferred
• Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS), particularly FRS 116.
• Proven track record of handling monthly account closings.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in auditing, accounting or financial reporting.
