The Regional Financial Controller will be responsible for both the Asia and Middle East regions and report to the CFO. The candidate will partner closely with both the Finance Control and Operations teams to ensure there are strong financial controls and processes in the business. This covers the broad spectrum of responsibilities to include monthly reporting, auditing and signing of financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and improving end to end process controls in each of Asia and the Middle East.
· Support preparation of the month-end process for the Balance Sheet reconciliations
· Plan and deliver component entity Audits for Asia and Middle East and filing of accounts to agreed timetables and regulatory deadlines
· Improve controls and the operational control environment of the business
· Provide thought leadership to the finance organisation to build a best-in-class function
· Reviewing legal entity agreements and relationships and ensure the accounting follows the structure of the agreements
· Strengthen end to end client invoicing processes, in partnership with Finance Operations
· Business Partner buy-in to the new role
· Finance Operations and Finance Control supporting Regional Controller objectives and providing resource as needed to ensure delivery
· Partnering with the FP&A and FBP in Finance that have Asia and Middle East responsibilities
· Prioritisation of resource against key financial objectives
· Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
· Other ad-hoc duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
· 10 years minimum experience having worked in Financial Control roles in industry, preferably in a blue-chip company
· Chartered Accountant
· Stakeholder management. Ability to influence decision makers and lead conversations to ensure optimal financial outcomes for Equiom. This will include the ability to influence members of the finance team to work together on the best solutions for the business
· Ability to drive results, having a track record of high performance and examples of delivering improvements to controls and financial processes
· Excellent communication skills; ability to deliver key messages and drive action to improve results
