Responsibilities:

• Data Ingestion: Collect and manage data from various sources.
• Data Parsing: Normalize, parse, and structure data for analysis.
• Search and Query: Use Splunk's SPL to analyze data effectively.
• Data Visualization: Create dashboards and reports for data visualization.
• Set up alerts and notifications for critical events.
• Troubleshoot, investigate and resolve data-related issues.
• Security Monitoring: Detect and investigate security threats.
• Assist with compliance reporting and audits.
• Maintain documentation records of configurations and processes.
• Communication: Collaborate with teams and present findings.
• Stay updated on Splunk and industry trends.

Requirements:

• Min. Diploma or Degree in Information Technology (IT) / Computer Science
• Possess working knowledge of Splunk software
• Experience in Search Processing Language (SPL), Data Sources and Parsing, Data Visualization, Security Concepts (if security-focused), Regular Expressions (Regex)
• Experience in Alerting and Notifications, Data Modelling, Data Transformation, Automation and Scripting, Capacity Planning
• Knowledge in Compliance and Regulatory Requirements
• Extensive knowledge in IT Operations and Troubleshooting, Communication and Documentation

Responsibilities:

• Implement, and maintain Splunk infrastructure, including installing and configuring Splunk components like indexers, search heads, forwarders, and clusters.
• Develop and deploy Splunk applications and dashboards (i.e., collections of reports and other visualizations that can display data from various sources and allow users to interact with the data).
• Use Splunk modules and APIs to integrate Splunk with databases, web servers, cloud services, security tools, and network devices.
• Use Splunk query language (SPL) to search, filter, manipulate, and analyze data and create custom reports and alerts based on the data.
• Use Splunk Enterprise Security (ES): A Splunk premium app that provides security intelligence and analytics, to monitor and investigate security incidents and threats
• Use Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI): Another Splunk premium app that provides end-to-end visibility and analytics for IT services and infrastructure, to measure and improve the performance and availability of IT services and systems.
• Troubleshoot and optimize the performance, scalability, reliability, and security of Splunk environment and applications.

Requirements:

• Possess Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect certification
• Min. 1-2 years working experience in Splunk Technology
• Possess Splunk Core Certified User, Splunk Core Certified Power User, and Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin certifications
• Preferably completed the following courses from Splunk Training: Architecting Splunk Enterprise Deployments, Troubleshooting Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cluster Administration, and Splunk Enterprise Deployment Practical Lab
