Job Description

• Participate in all phases of executing sell-side, buy-side, and other structural transactions, with a focus on cross-border deals ranging from USD10 million to USD30 million, involving Southeast Asian clients or Japanese clients with business interests in Southeast Asia.
• Support the preparation of financial forecasts for acquisitions, restructurings, and financial reporting, while providing expert analytical insights on the validity of assumptions behind these forecasts.
• Develop sophisticated financial models to evaluate complex structures, including multiple share classes, geographic models, start-ups, and technology-driven businesses, assessing the value of businesses, equities, tangible and intangible assets, and financial instruments for acquisition, restructuring, and reporting purposes.
• Conduct field research, including site visits and interviews with industry stakeholders, to ensure the soundness and accuracy of assumptions used in financial projections.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Banking & Finance, Economics or equivalent
• At least one professional qualification in finance/accounting/CFA/FRM
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in transaction services or corporate finance field with a good understanding of corporate finance is required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working for MNCs and listed companies is required (as for the consultancy job career, minimum 2 years of experience assisting similar companies)
• High level of verbal and written proficiency in English and Chinese in order to negotiate and communicate with the owner in Singapore and South-east Asian region.
• Business level of Japanese language skills is strongly encouraged to negotiate and communicate with the corporate counterpart in Japan.
• Willing to travel to Japan and ASEAN countries (typically 1-2 times per month)
• Strong quantitative skills with an understanding of financial statements
• Strong grasp of business and intangible assets valuation concepts; proficiency in financial instruments valuation is an advantage
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and presentation/reporting skills, combined with a good understanding of business dynamics and commercial value drivers

We are looking for an Internal Audit Consultant to join our team to service a portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities:

• Support in all phases of an audit from the planning stage to audit report publication

• Perform internal audit reviews and access effectiveness of internal controls

• Perform risk discussions and assessments of risk profile and highlight key risk for reporting

• Identify systemic / emerging issues, weaknesses in processes and internal controls and accountable for engaging with line management and making practical and value-added recommendations and following up on audit findings to ensure adequacy and timeliness of corrective actions.

• Prepare a clear and concise written audit reports and presentation materials to Management and Audit Committee

• Undertake other types of advisory work such as internal control policy development, financial due diligence, investigations services and sustainability and ESG advisory projects.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Accounting/Finance/Business (e.g. diploma and above)

• Relevant experience in internal or external audit or sustainability strategy of at least 1 year (applicable for consultant) or more than 1 years (applicable for senior consultant)

• Strong command of English and Chinese languages are pre-requisites

• Good report writing, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Regional travel of up to 50% is required

• Able to work independently

• Positive work attitude and good team player
