Job Description: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Position Overview:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a strategic business partner to the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team, driving financial strategy, planning, and management to support the company’s growth and long-term objectives. This role will oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, treasury, budgeting, financial reporting, and team development, while fostering relationships with investors, financial institutions, and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy, Planning & Management

• Act as a trusted advisor and business partner to the senior executive leadership team.

7. Tax & Contracts

8. Coaching & Team Development

• Build and lead a high-performing finance team capable of delivering strategic business insights and supporting decision-making.
• Develop and implement training and development plans for finance team members to enhance skills and performance.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Engineering or other highly quantitative field.
• MBA degree from a top business school with a concentration in Finance or similar field.
• Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive experience in senior financial leadership roles, including at least 3 years in senior venture capital roles.

About the role

The Regional Manager- Financial Controller will own and evolve a Financial Control Framework that ensures our accounting records are complete, accurate and our disclosures comply with local and international reporting standards . This role will provide technical accounting support and guidance across the APAC finance teams as well as lead local initiatives and the APAC work stream of global Controllership projects.

The Regional Manager- Financial Controller reports to the Head of Financial Control, Operations & Planning, APAC. This role works closely with the Finance Operations teams in the region and is akey contact point for Tax advisors, auditors and Controllership colleagues in the London office and other regional offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Ongoing review and maintenance of accounting treatment in line with local regulations, commercial drivers and firm policy

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of period-end FA reports (e.g. Fixed Asset Stock-take report, Development Project-in-Progress (DPIP) report, and the Consolidated Fixed Asset Schedule) for management and statutory reporting and audit reviews. Role Requirements (Skills, Experience and Qualifications):

• A minimum of 5+ years proven experience in the implementation of technological changes, gained within a leading financial institution or consulting firm
• Experience working with wealth and private banking clients in APAC and engaged in major transformation projects with hands-on experience at Implementing Technical integrations in some of the following areas: Order and Execution Management, Portfolio management, Credit Operations.
• Experience delivering Migration and Implementation projects with at least one of the following Wealth Management Solution : Avaloq, Triple A & Transact Temenos, EdgeLab/Evooq.
• A proven Track Record at designing and implementing complex solutions.
• Ability to show initiative when dealing with clients, form strong relationships with new clients, and maintain existing relationships
• Superb interpersonal skills, with ability to lead.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Analyse monthly financial results and business drivers and provide supporting commentary on the variances between actual and budget/forecast
• Manage and prepare the annual budgeting process and analyse economic indicators and market trends to prepare forecast.
• Partner the business units to formulate key strategies and recommendations to drive growth and profitability
• Provide market and business insights and support business on financial modelling for business proposal or decision making
• Assist in implementing governance and internal controls initiatives, including strengthening current internal controls and improve the Finance department’s processes and systems
• Perform the CAPEX and Profitability evaluation on projects, ensuring cost efficiency and value creation are top priorities.
• Assist in providing guidance on intercompany charges as well as transfer pricing policies
• Prepare and create monthly and quarterly forecast reports for both internal management and Group reporting purposes.
• Actively involve in the FP&A team's efforts in fostering business partnerships and managing enterprise risk.
• Coordinating the review of legal documents with business units and the Group Legal department.
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and tax requirements,
• Create, test and review functional requirements and refine financial operating systems, where necessary
• Building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and financial institutions to support SP Group's financial objectives.

Head of Financial Crime Compliance – Singapore

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead the Financial Crime Compliance function for a prominent financial institution in Singapore. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for designing and implementing robust compliance frameworks to mitigate financial crime risks, ensuring adherence to local and international regulatory standards, and promoting a strong compliance culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

Lead the Financial Crime Compliance team, setting the strategic direction and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Provide thought leadership on emerging financial crime trends, regulations, and best practices.

Framework & Governance:

Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the financial crime compliance framework, including policies, procedures, and controls.

Establish effective governance structures to monitor and report on compliance risks.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including MAS notices, FATF recommendations, and AML/CFT requirements.

Liaise with regulators and external stakeholders, managing inspections, audits, and inquiries.

Risk Management:

Identify, assess, and mitigate financial crime risks, including money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions, fraud, and bribery.

Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure timely remediation of identified gaps.

Training & Awareness:

Develop and deliver training programs to enhance staff awareness of financial crime risks and compliance obligations.

Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior across the organization.

Monitoring & Reporting:

Oversee the monitoring of transactions and activities to detect and prevent financial crime.

Ensure timely and accurate reporting of suspicious activities and regulatory breaches.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, or a related discipline; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, ICA) preferred.

Minimum 12–15 years of experience in financial crime compliance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a financial institution.

Deep understanding of MAS regulations, international financial crime compliance standards, and risk management frameworks.

Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a focus on strategic and operational priorities.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
