Group Financial Controller

( 100 - 150 K per annum)

Job Description

• Establish Business control over financial processes and complying with corporate policies, IFRS, legal, statutory and tax requirements.
• Review and analyse all financial statements for the Group.
• Design, implement and maintain adequate internal controls, policies, and procedures in compliance with corporate policies and all relevant auditing, statutory and tax requirements to support integrity of internal and external financial statements.
• Spearhead the formulation of annual budgets and operating forecasts managing the cash flow requirements effectively.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of operating results in compliance with corporate policies/guidelines, statutory and tax requirements for the Group.
• Handle Tenancy Agreements and Legal Documents.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, legal counsel, bankers and relevant government authorities.
• Manage acquisition due diligence process.
• Represent the Group in attending Industry Conferences, Investor Events and Senior Management Professional Meetings.

We are looking for Financial Accountant to join us.

This role reports directly to the Financial Controller and is part of Anext Bank’s Finance team. This role supports the Financial Controller in all aspects of Finance related matters, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial information to internal and external stakeholders.

Functions includes (but not limited to):

Financial Accounting, Reporting and Control

• Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to management
• Liaise with outsourced service providers on reporting matters, and managing queries from Group Finance
• Perform required month end balance sheet substantiation and reconciliations (bank and intercompany), support payment activities
• Coordinate the year-end financial statement audit, including managing external auditor queries and preparation of the year-end financial statements
• Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements to relevant regulatory authorities (MAS, ACRA, IRAS)
• Provide accounting advice to business, as well as accounting treatment for new products
• Perform testing for new system implementations, work with various teams to implement new processes and controls
• Regulatory Reporting
• Preparation of regulatory submissions to MAS, and monitoring of regulatory ratios on a timely and accurate basis
• Assist with MAS information requests and queries on MAS returns

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or equivalent, CPA or ACCA and equivalent
• At least 6-10 years banking experience, preferably in a wholesale bank or have experience auditing financial institutions
• Well versed in financial reporting standards and banking products
• Driven, independent, hands-on and result-oriented person, with ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines
• Strong in process re-engineering and data management
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese to communicate with our Mandarin speaking stakeholders
