Responsibilities:

• Lead negotiations for the company’s various strategic partnerships, focusing on both support and pricing agreements
• Formulate/Execute procurement strategies aligned with the company’s objectives
• Source quotes for office/manufacturing-related raw materials and services, demonstrating expertise in recommending materials, grades, and composites
• Stay updated of the current industry trends and innovations to enhance sourcing efficiency
• Input and release purchase orders promptly, ensuring both accuracy and compliance with the necessary specifications
• Collaborate with the company’s QA team to align purchase orders with incoming specifications
• Collaborate with the company’s Planning team to prevent costly shortages or excesses of raw materials
• Facilitate/Enhance communication between the company’s Warehouse and Production teams to ensure smooth operations
• Monitor/Manage the company’s suppliers and their On-Time Delivery performances, ensuring that the supply to production process is smooth
• Optimize the purchasing volume to minimize additional costs
• Monitor/Optimize inventory levels, preventing slow-moving stock and potential obsolescence
• Implement cost-saving measures, source for alternate suppliers, and lead cost reduction programs
• Establish and negotiate reliable and cost-effective freight solutions
• Manage and update prices in the system, ensuring accuracy and transparency
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and generate monthly reports and analysis
• All other adhoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in any relevant field of Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in the relevant industries
• Experienced in using SAP system and Microsoft Office
• Possesses strong knowledge/experience in Procurement and Sourcing
• Possess strong knowledge/experience in process improvements/implementations

Job Description

• Position Title: Logistics Assistant (Warehouse)

Key Responsibilities

• Report to the Logistics Supervisor/Officer/Section Manager.
• Store finished goods on the racking system in an organized manner.
• Conduct visual inspection for all incoming and outgoing finished goods for the warehouse.
• Report to the superiors on any defects or abnormalities found.
• Prepare goods for shipment by:
  • Scanning the serial number of the drums
  • Pasting of shipping mark as per required by the customer
  • Prepare the finished goods by placing in the awaiting shipment area
• Carry out loading/unloading of import/export containers and trucks.
• Carry out inspection of import/export containers before and after loading/loading by taking photos of containers and trucks for shipment.
• Ensure proper operation of truck, delivery of finished goods in a safe and timely manner and carry out safety checks and housekeeping for the truck:
  • Carry out charging of battery for all equipment
  • Refuel the diesel forklift whenever needed
  • Inspect forklift prior to usage according to the check sheet
• Drive the truck for transfer of any materials between MPCS premise and off-site warehouses when assigned to do so.
• Deliver finished goods to customer site by truck in a safe and orderly manner when assigned to do so.
• Assist in the delivery and discharge of chemicals, including supporting the physical unloading and loading of chemicals at customer site, when assigned to do so.
• Assist in collection and delivery of empty used containers from customer site back to MPCS warehouse when assigned to do so.
• Conduct proper housekeeping at the warehouse vicinity.
• Conduct traffic control and safety of incoming and outgoing vehicles for shipment and deliveries.
• Drive Prime Mover to conduct, shifting, arrangement, delivery to customer of arrangement of Iso-tankers.
• Provide assistance to production department in unloading of raw materials and containers.
• Adhere to EHS and QMS procedures in all aspects of the activities.
• Perform any other tasks as instructed by the superior.
