Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Front of House Waiter to provide outstanding service to our guests. As the face of the restaurant, you will ensure guests have a memorable dining experience by delivering professional, friendly, and attentive service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Guest Service:
• Greet guests warmly and assist them in selecting menu items.
• Answer questions about the menu, daily specials, and restaurant policies.
• Take accurate orders and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
2. Order Management:
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Monitor tables and promptly address guest needs, including refills and special requests.
3. Cleanliness and Setup:
• Prepare tables for service by setting linens, silverware, and glasses.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area throughout the shift.
4. Upselling and Recommendations:
• Suggest menu items and upsell specials to enhance the guest experience.
• Promote restaurant events and loyalty programs to guests.
5. Billing and Payments:
• Provide accurate bills to guests and process payments efficiently.
• Handle cash and card transactions while maintaining a positive attitude.
6. Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with other waitstaff, hosts, and managers to ensure a seamless operation.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, as needed.
Requirements
1. Experience and Skills:
• Previous experience as a waiter or in a customer-facing role (preferred but not required for entry-level applicants).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
2. Personal Attributes:
• Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward guest satisfaction.
• Dependable and punctual, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
3. Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
• Capability to lift up to 25 pounds comfortably.
4. Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
