If you are looking for a material planning experience, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! The Material Planner will be responsible for the material flow planning to meet the daily production requirements of the business. The role will also handle the inventory records maintenance, stocks discrepancies resolution, stock movement monitoring, purchase orders and issues coordination with finance and suppliers.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Inventory Control
· Plan material flow to meet daily production requirements.
· Implement and execute inventory reduction programme.
· Monitor & expedite orders based on material requirement & inventory levels.
· Achieve Inventory KPI targets set by management. (5 points ITO, Average Inventory and Raw velocity)
· Process and maintain inventory adjustment records.
· Resolve stocks discrepancies.
Purchasing & Supplier Control
· Monitor stock movement and initiate purchase orders.
· Follow-up on delivery shortages, rejects & reworks with suppliers.
· Provide rolling forecast to supplier for capacity booking.
· Resolve discrepancies in purchasing contracts with finance and suppliers.
· Implement measures with suppliers to reduce lead-time and achieve timely delivery.
· Co-ordinate drawing/specification revisions to suppliers.
· Co-ordinate phase-in of new material – Risk Mitigation
· Attend to new supplier approval and co-ordinate phase-in process.
· Maintain supplier information in Vendor Master File.
· Maintain retention of purchasing records.
Product Champion
· Compute actual material cost for assigned product.
· Compute spare parts selling price for assigned product.
· Attend to MRB disposition for assigned product.
· Attend to ECRN implementation for assigned product.
· Maintain BOM in MRP system for assigned product.
· Maintain Item Master in MRP system for assigned product.
· Perform cycle count for assigned product.
Others
· Maintain and upkeep ISO 9001:2015 system.
· Prepare monthly report on ITO, OTS, and materials update.
· Knowledge on Automation Intelligence system to help on Material Planning.

For This Role, You Will Need:
· Diploma / Degree in Purchasing, Engineering, or Business is required.
· Minimum 2 years of planning or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
