Portfolio Manager Responsibilities
• Develop and implement investment strategies tailored to the objectives and risk profile of the family office.
• Manage multi-asset class portfolios, including equities, fixed income, alternatives, ETFs, and private investments.
• Build and maintain robust financial models to support portfolio decisions and strategic asset allocation.
• Oversee the execution of investment strategies, leveraging both discretionary and algorithmic approaches.
• Conduct in-depth research on global markets, macroeconomic trends, and individual securities to identify investment opportunities.
• Continuously monitor portfolio performance, ensuring adherence to investment mandates, risk parameters, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with external managers, custodians, and service providers to optimize portfolio operations and maintain strong relationships.
• Evaluate and select external investment managers, ensuring alignment with the family office’s objectives.
• Perform risk analysis and stress-testing of portfolios to safeguard against market and credit risks.
• Stay updated on relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements across jurisdictions.
Portfolio Manager Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, or a related field; CFA/CAIA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience managing portfolios within a single family office, wealth management firm, or institutional setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in portfolio construction, risk management, and performance analysis.
• Strong knowledge of financial instruments, including derivatives, private equity, and structured products.
• Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Proven track record of achieving consistent investment performance while adhering to risk and return objectives.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present investment strategies and results to stakeholders.
• Experience with portfolio management systems and financial modeling tools.
