The Anesthesia Nurse position is responsible for the overall effective and efficient nursing management, care and counselling of patients attending assisted reproductive treatment/procedure.
Job Responsibilities:
ā¢Obtain and document patientās assessment which incorporates all available data.
ā¢Incorporate individual patientās needs in planning and implementation of care during preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of anesthesia.
ā¢Perform checks on the anesthesia machine, monitor, suction machines, and other requirements necessary for use to ensure optimum functioning prior to the commencement of procedure.
ā¢Provide medications ā anesthesia drugs, cannula, catheters, probes, endotracheal tubes, laryngeal masks, and other requirements for anesthesia procedures.
ā¢Identify and receive the surgical patient prior to surgery, ensuring all preoperative procedures and protocols have been accurately completed, according to institutionās policies and procedures.
ā¢Assist the anesthesiologist and care for the patient during specific procedures (for example, local, sedation or general anesthesia).

ā¢Function as patientās advocate during the administration of anesthesia.
ā¢Document nursing care as required.
ā¢Co-ordinate care delivered by other health professionals.
ā¢Provide ongoing perioperative evaluation of the patient.
ā¢Revise the plan of care as necessary based on evaluation.
ā¢Report changes in patientās condition to members of the surgical team/anesthesiologist as appropriate.
Essential qualifications:
ā¢Minimum diploma holders
ā¢Singapore Registered nurse with a valid registration with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
