a) Assist to manage and monitor the HSE performance of our client.
b) Assist to monitor premise facilities and ensure optimum service level is maintained at all times.
c) Monitor and advise on all HSE matters, issues and concerns to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
d) Responsible for Company’s HSE processes and procedures to ensure the Company maintains its accreditations where applicable. ( Eg. Bizsafe, ISO14001 etc)
e) Manage the day-to-day HSE operation, including subcontractor management in the premise and incident reporting on Heath, Safety & Environment (HSE) matters.
f) Review and monitor the business activities, permits, certificates and relevant documents to ensure the compliance of the relevant statutory requirements at all times, including the international standards, local regulations, code of practices and legal requirements.
g) Prepare and submit the accurate reports on HSE statistics and records in meeting requirements of the relevant authorities and corporate reporting’s.
h) Developing and implementing HSE Procedures and Annual HSE program
i) Liase with internal stakeholders on purchasing matters.
j) Act on behalf in all authorities correspondences.
k) Serves as lead/ focal point for other regions and liase with the region contact for all HSE matters
l) Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by his/her manager, encapsulated within HSE scope.
Profile
a) Preferably with experience managing MNCs and have been to countries like China, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia) as occasional travels to these areas will be expected.
b) Preferably excel In the field of Health & Safety as well as Environment with at least >10years in handling above endeavors.
c) Possess suitable qualifications in above area, example:
(i) MOM Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer OR
(ii) Completed any HSE training such as Internal or Lead Auditor qualifications
d) Experience in managing a facility is advantageous, but not a must as training will be provided.
Required Skills
a) Able to do up HSE powerpoint presentations and communicate with senior management.
b) Have managed multinational companies in Health & Safety as well as Environmental initiatives or have shown experiences in managing these areas.
c) Good interpersonal and communication skills.
d) Able to communicate well with all level in the companies.
e) Energetic, flexible and innovative.
f) Able to work independently and to coordinate several activities simultaneously
g) Fluent in English and able to read and write.
h) Acts quickly and decisively; able to make tough calls
i) Applicants must be willing to travel nationwide as well as overseas occasionally.
j) Able to converse and write in English as well as a 2nd language( eg. Mandarin or Bahasa) will be preferred.
