Our company is starting a new gym franchise in Singapore, with a clear objective to offer a unique brand value, world class gym facilities and training services to help individuals embark on their fitness transformation journey. We are looking to employ a training manager with outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. A training manager is expected to be a strategic thinker with fantastic organizational and time management skills. You will have excellent planning, coordination and research skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

To ensure success, training managers should understand the business operation and decision-making processes with a keen interest in lead, organize, deploy and manage a team of fitness trainers to produce targeted and tangible training programmes for our gym clients. He or she shall design the group class programmes and schedule, working closely with organic internal team of trainers, freelancer as well as external training service providers. The training manager shall assess and curate a list of topnotch training programmes for our clients, via group class formats and personal training sessions. Top candidates must be innovative, strong decision-makers and outstanding facilitators of learning and change.

Head Coach / Fitness Manager Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess the training needs of the clients through feedback, surveys and client engagement, and consultation with internal personal trainers and our training service providers.
• Develop individualized and group training programs that address specific clients’ needs.
• Develop training manuals that target tangible results.
• Implement effective and purposeful training methods.
• Effectively manage the training budget.
• Evaluate organizational performance to ensure that training is meeting business needs and improving performance.
• Assess clients’ transformation, performance and training regime to identify areas of improvement.
• Drive brand values and philosophy through all training and development activities.
• Effectively communicate with operation team members, trainers and management.
• Create a curriculum to facilitate strategic training based on the organizations goals.
• Select and manage resources, including working with both internal employees and training vendors to develop and deliver training.
• Manage the technologies and technical personnel required to develop, manage and deliver training.
• Keep abreast of training trends, developments and best practices.

Training Manager Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in human resources or a related field (essential).
• A minimum of 2 years experience in training and development management (essential).
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Superb track record in developing and executing successful training programs.
• Critical thinker with innovative problem solving skills.
• Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and related business and communication tools.
• Familiar with traditional and modern training processes.
• Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
• Strategic and creative mindset.
• Meticulous attention to detail.

You must be willing to help clients in their health and fitness transformational journey. Most important, you will listen well to their life goals and aspirations, success stories, as well as challenges in their personal fitness and health endeavours. In this role, you are also expected to be a team player, working closely with the operations and sales team, as one family. You are also expected to out in the general tasks in the gym if there are no other clients or follow up work. There are many routes to succeed in a startup company pursing a global franchise strategy.

A day in the life:
- Using digital tools to quote Employee Benefits insurance that comes through our online portal
- Be the project manager taking charge of the clients’ insurance renewal process (Both Portfolio &
Experience-rated Plans)
- Building good rapport with insurers so as to secure the best deals for our clients
- Liaising with clients and insurers on policies renewal & new business placement (Both Portfolio &
Experience-rated Plans)
- Be involved in ad-hoc projects to improve the quotation process through the utilization of
technology
- Follow up and be in-charge of sourcing for new quotations and presenting them to prospects in
assigned portfolio
- Cleaning up renewal member listing provided by the client and reconciling them against our /
insurer’s records
- Doing Premium & Benefits Comparison by analysing the data obtained to propose solutions to
clients
- Answering product-related enquiries from the clients and providing solutions to their issues
- Conducting Benefits Presentation session
- Monthly reporting of the new business’s conversion rate and policy renewal’s retention rate


What you need:
- At least a Diploma in any discipline
- BCP, PGI, ComGI, & HI certifications are mandatory
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Employee Benefits either as Broker Support / Broker
in Broking firm or Insurance Company or as a General Insurance Broker
- Tech Savviness, and Proficiency in MS Office Suite i.e. MS Excel (Pivot Table & V-Lookup),
Powerpoint, Word
- Great Customer Service skills
- Critical Thinking (flexibility to apply concepts to different scenarios for problem-solving)
- Ability to work under stress
- Meticulous to deal with sensitive data, analyse the underwriting information to propose solutions
to clients
