As a Resident Physician, you will be responsible for the total management of patients under the supervision of senior doctors and incollaboration with other healthcare professionals. The Physiotherapist helps patient restore mobility, function and independence through detailed assessment of problems and individualized treatment. Physiotherapists manage a wide range of conditions, with expertise in mobilization techniques and manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy, balance and gait training and education on health promoting strategies. The Physiotherapist works within the context of a multidisciplinary team.

A Physiotherapist demonstrates a high standard of clinical practice and professional conduct in all areas of patient care, and proactively participate in continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.

(A) MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. CLINICAL DUTIES

Depending on the coverage areas, locum physiotherapist should be competent in managing the following conditions:

• Orthopedics
• Sports
• Neurology/Neurosurgery
• Cardiopulmonary
• Geriatrics
• Musculoskeletal

He/she should be independent in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patient within defined scope of practice. He/she should have an understanding of the limits of their expertise and seek guidance proactively when appropriate.

2. Administrative duties

The locum physiotherapist must have skills and competency in self management, and compliance to medicolegal and governance guidelines

• Be responsible for the caseload allocated and provide coverage as necessary
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical reports in continuity of care
• Be familiar with and adhere to basic tenets of JCI
• Maintain statistics on workload as needed by the Department and Hospital

OTHER DUTIES

1. Supervisory Role

• Provide supervisory/training to staff as allocated by supervisor / manager
• Provide mentoring / leadership guide to staff as allocated by supervisor / manager

Education, Training and Experience

• Recognized Degree in Physiotherapy
• Graduate with 3 years of working experience in the relevant clinical disciplines
• Have basic IT skills and competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

2. Professional License

• Registered with Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC)
• Member of the Singapore Physiotherapy Association or equivalent (highly recommended)

(D) ABNORMAL PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITION

• Managing patient with behavioural issues

i) Provide professional nail services including manicure and pedicure, nail extension and gel nail services

ii) Provide eyelash extension services

iii) Provide hair extension services

iv) Promote products and services, assist the customers for the selection of products and services

Work Location: Near to Bugis MRT

Job Scope:

• Develop and implement effective safety management systems, including preventive measures and risk assessments to minimize workplace accidents
• Execute workplace safety, health, and environmental programs and initiatives
• Compile and maintain safety records, reports, and documentation related to safety matters
• Enforce safety standards in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
• Prepare and submit safety reports, conduct necessary audits, and assist in safety certifications
• Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to ensure facilities and equipment are safe and in good working condition
• Provide training and awareness programs for employees on safety practices and procedures
• Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in a safety-related field
• Experience with ISO documentation and audits
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
• At least 3 years of registration as a WSHO with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM)
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of WSHO experience in the construction industry
• ECO and ECMO licenses are advantageous
