Job Description
· Oversee tender administration, including, but not limited to: Sourcing and preparation of all information and documentation related to tender submissions, for participation in tender exercise
· Preparation of bill of quantities which involves quantity take-off, materials sourcing, and measuring and estimating material and labour costs used in the tendering process
· Evaluation of quotations from sub-contractors and suppliers according to tender requirements, and timely submission of quotations
· Oversee contract administration, including, but not limited to: Familiarise and fully understand the legal and commercial aspects of contract documents, and the scope of work for the project
· Handle contractual disputes
· Source, negotiate and procure trade packages including drafting of sub-contract document
· Administration of Extension of Time claim
· Provide monthly updates of project budgets
· Monitor, review, and recommend Subcontractor’s variation order
· Ensure timely submission of Variation Orders cost on a periodic basis; timely submission of monthly progress claims
· Effective follow-up on payment certificate and payment with the clients; final account closing
· Provides leadership to team members, and effectively resolves any issues that arise
Requirements
· Minimum education qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or construction-related discipline
· Minimum years of experience: 10 years’ work experience in a related field of work
· Possess knowledge and expertise in managing projects and tenders in the construction field
· Meticulous and detail-oriented
· Good organisation skills, and able to multi-task
· Good written communication skills in English
· Strong communication and negotiation skills
· Ability to work independently, and under pressure, to meet deadlines
