Job Description

• Oversee and manage the stock of wines and other beverages in the restaurant
• Order wines and other beverages
• Create and update the wine list in coordination with chefs and the Restaurant Manager
• Recommend food and wine pairings
• Advise guests on wines based on their personal tastes and food choices
• Inform guests about different varieties of wines and prices
• Ensure wines are served at the right temperature and in the proper glassware
• Store open bottles properly to maintain taste
• Ensure that waiters and waitresses are trained on available wine, to describe wines properly and they are properly groomed
• Negotiate purchase prices with vendors
• Assisting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing of the service of the Restaurant

Requirements

• Possess at least a professional certificate or diploma in wines
• Possess well-rounded knowledge of Italian wines
• Able to converse well in English in order to communicate with guests of different nationalities
• Be meticulous and attentive to details
• Possess experience working as a sommelier in an Italian restaurant

• Oversee all accounts, human resource and administrative matters of the company.

• Prepare and handle daily accounting operations, such as invoicing, payment, payment voucher, reconciliation of bank statements, etc.

Accounting Responsibilities:

• Verifying suppliers invoice, intercompany transactions

• Preparation of Payment Voucher and Payment to Suppliers

• Verifying and processing expenses claimed by (Petty Cash)

• Daily bookkeeping

HR Responsibilities:

• Assist with foreign employee work pass applications and renewal

• Assist on foreign employee income tax payment

• Assist with preparation and issuance of Appointment Letters

• Prepare monthly payroll, payment and payslips

• Employee leave and public holidays recording

Administrative Responsibilities:

• General administrative duties

Requirements:

• Proficient Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)

• Able to work independently and multi-task efficiently

• Positive work attitude and able to work as a team
