Role
- Working together with the Head of IBD and other members of the IBD team, develop and implement the sales strategy to promote the firm's investment solutions
- To drive growth in AUM sales in assigned distribution channel and provide broad based team support in the distribution of Nikko AM suite of fund solutions in Singapore and in the region
Key Responsibilities
- Increase profile and penetration of Nikko AM's fund solutions in targeted client base. Deliver on AUM and revenue targets within assigned channels
- Develop a clear understanding and be fully conversant with Nikko AM solution set and be able to provide credible explanations to intermediary clients. Possess the ability to sell the value proposition to a broad audience demonstrating a thorough understanding of the investment process and Nikko AM business model
- Provide client focused content and presentations in response to client enquiries. Support key target market segments and clients, prioritize to focus efforts on highest opportunities in line with business development priorities
- Work with wider Nikko AM teams to maximize success. Coordinate and ensure these resources are brought to bear to maximize effectiveness in a resource-considered manner
- As appropriate, represent Nikko AM for broader client engagement needs, i.e. conferences, seminars and roadshows.
- Manage collateral and client database. Remain well informed on industry and regulatory issues. Stay abreast of strategy, research and product efforts within the firm
Taking direction from the Head of Intermediary Business Distribution and working closely with the business development team to:
- Ensure expedient and accurate resolution of all incoming inquiries by intermediary clients
- Prepare and produce general and customized sales decks/ presentations that comply with regulations, Nikko AM’s company policies and strategic sales themes. Perform basic macro market research from reliable primary and secondary sources for the preparation of sales and marketing content, sales deck and presentations
- Assist with collateral production process to ensure continuity of product and compliance approval
- Assist on new intermediary account on-boarding specifically with know-your-customer and anti-money laundering procedures
- Support servicing requirements for existing client base, and where appropriate, prospect and educate potential new-to-business intermediary clients
- Assist on completing account mapping, sales plan including servicing requirements and call program
- Collect, categorize and maintain updated client data, mapping the clients’ profile, organizational structure, key contacts and relevant opportunity/ priorities
- Assist in preparing business development activity and prepare summary sales reports for management
- Collect and report sales feedback to the product development team
- Perform competitor analysis by gathering and evaluating relevant market intelligence
- Assist business development team to coordinate cross selling opportunities where appropriate communicate and coordinate with internal departments on day-to-day sales and non-sales related matters
Knowledge and Skills
- Sound investment knowledge and understanding of financial markets.
- Must have outstanding written and oral communication skills in English. Fluent Mandarin is highly preferred, a 3rd Asian language a plus, to interact effectively with retail customers/prospects
- Able to present well to all levels of audience
- Strong intellect, high integrity, high quality standards. Strong control environment awareness and attention to detail
- Must be self-reliant, resourceful and proactive, at the same time a team player who is able to operate credibly and leverage the firm’s resources and global infrastructure
- Highly motivate individual with a commitment to excellence
Experience and Qualification
- BA/BS degree in related field (Economics, Finance, Accounting)
- 5 – 6 years’ experience in a high quality, multi-product investment firm with proven expertise in selling complex investment products to intermediary clients and managing client relationships
- Experience in Asset Management, Financial Advisor business model and or Private Banking Channels
