The friendly and supportive tax team works collaboratively across various four main specialties – corporate tax, goods and services tax (GST), transfer pricing, and employer solutions and private clients. Responsibilities

• Assist funds with tax incentive applications and annual declarations, including liaising with the MAS
• Review funds’ documentation (e.g., information memorandum, subscription agreement, etc.)
• Manage/support portfolio of fund clients for corporate tax compliance services

Qualifications and requirements

Job Description

• Provides project management for ongoing client sample programs through daily customer communication and contact.
• Provides sample registration though the laboratory LIMS system and ensures correct registration.
• Arranges all aspects of local and international logistics for both sample collections and overseas shipments to global partners.

Who are we?

We are the University of Cambridge research centre in Singapore called Cambridge CARES, sponsored by the NRF CREATE program CAM.CREATE. Health-driven design for cities (HD4) is a collaborative research programme between the University of Cambridge, NTU and NUS within Cambridge CARES.

HD4 sits at the heart of Singapore’s global research and development hub and paves the way for a sustainable and healthy city. It will undertake research in the following key areas: characterising the features of the environment that potentially impact health in Singapore; understanding the links between environmental factors, individual behaviour and health outcomes; observing the impact of environmental change on health in Singapore; simulating the impact of potential changes on the health of Singaporeans; and working with government agencies to co-develop data-rich public health tools.

The scientific techniques, technologies, tools and most importantly the knowledge gained through the programme will create a comprehensive systems view of how the urban environment affects population health in Singapore. The programme will train and enrich the talent pool of next generation of researchers, and benefit from local and international expertise and an innovative interdisciplinary research ecosystem. It will provide the basis for a data-rich public health framework, supporting the development of a healthy Singapore.

Work Package 1, led by Assoc. Prof. Rudi STOUFFS (NUS) and Ronita Bardhan (Cambridge), targets the identification and assembly of existing geocoded environmental datasets and linkage to individual behaviour and health outcomes. We will use existing data to analyse the built and natural environments in Singapore and construct profiles of urban environmental exposures at both population and individual levels. We will compile and map a set of environmental indicators and discover urban environmental exposure archetypes. These will be linked to the record of each study participant’s individual behaviour and health outcome.

Who are we looking for?

A research associate to conduct the following work activities:

· Compute urban heat island (UHI) intensity to include the interaction of urban morphogenetics such as urban form, sky-view factor, and local temperature anomalies.

· Compute human biometeorology indices such as physiological equivalent temperature (PET) and universal thermal climate index (UTCI).

· Compute humid-heat stress by integrating spatially averaged ambient meteorological data.

· Assess the spatial distribution of heat health risks, identify the climate adaptation capacity of vulnerable groups and neighbourhoods.

· Evaluate the social impacts of climate change (e.g., temperature, heat stress) on human health and mobility behaviour.

· Compute a novel humid-heat index by using multi-modal data, combining geostatistical, AI, and urban physical modelling, apportioned to the chosen unit of analysis.

· Contribute to writing articles for publication in reputable journals.

What skills will you need?

· A Master’s degree in urban planning or geography or a strongly related field from a reputable university.

· Experience in conducting research.

· Expertise in urban heat assessment, health risk and equality analysis, and strong geospatial analysis skills.

· Good command of GIS and geospatial modelling software (e.g., Python, R).

· Experience in multi-source data and multi-scale (regional, urban, neighbourhood) analysis, modeling, and planning.

· Preferably, experience in machine learning / AI and interdisciplinary research.

· Experience with writing and publishing articles in reputable scientific journals.

About the Centre for Research in Health Systems Performance (CRiHSP)

Optimizing the performance of health systems is essential to ensuring the wellbeing and longevity of populations worldwide. Singapore is particularly well placed to lead research in this field as its health system has been consistently ranked as one of the best in the world based in independent evaluation with the Global Burden of Disease data. The new Centre for Research in Health Systems Performance (CRiHSP) aims to advance research in this area within the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine of the National University of Singapore (NUS) as the leading centre for research in health systems in Asia with the following core functions:

1. Research: empirical and methodological research and evidence synthesis on health systems performance with a particular focus on Value Based Healthcare.
2. Health policy intelligence: health policy impact analysis aimed at policy makers, service providers, researchers, and the wider public.
3. Capacity building: formal postgraduate programme (from certificates to PhD), fellowships, mentoring, on-the- job and ad hoc training

The Research Associate will have the following duties:

About You

ABOUT THE POSITION

IH2O Asia is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated self-starter with exceptional writing and communication skills. The Associate will be based in Singapore and will design and execute communications campaigns, lead high-profile innovation events and manage regional program impact monitoring and evaluation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Innovation Programs, Events & Partnerships

● Coordinate planning and execution of regional industry programs and events

● Support market research and customer outreach in priority markets

● Design and draft program collateral and other event materials

● Monitor startup engagement and performance as well as program impact

Communications & Marketing

● Draft and update content for social media, website and other channels

● Design and execute new communications campaigns to raise awareness around water innovation

● Support internal and external stakeholder reporting

● Represent the organization at industry events or partner/vendor meetings, if needed

Impact Monitoring & Stakeholder Reporting

● Support technology pilot impact monitoring and evaluation

● Conduct field research and expert interviews to evaluate program effectiveness

● Coordinate email campaigns and program updates for startups and partners

● Draft blogs and other content showcasing innovation case studies and learnings

REQUIREMENTS

● Demonstrate through recent internship and/or full-time professional experiences:

○ Strong project management and relationship management skills

○ Attention to detail and ability to be self-directed as well as manage ambiguity or changing priorities

○ Interest in climate and/or water innovation and entrepreneurship

○ Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with a lean team

● Bachelors degree or Diploma. This is an entry-level position.

● Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident

● A background in a related field and/or familiarity with water, environment and/or climate issues is preferred but not required
