ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist in ensuring clients’ compliance with the tax regulations and meet the relevant tax filing obligations and timelines for both corporate tax and individual tax.
• Assist in the preparation of individuals, sole proprietorship, partnership, corporate and withholding tax computations for a portfolio of clients.

REQUIREMENTS

• You should have a Diploma in Accountancy, a Degree preferably in Accountancy or a equivalent professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CPA.
• Pursuing or possessing an accreditation by SCTP will be an added advantage
• At least 1 year of relevant working experience preferably in the area of Singapore tax. Applicants with more than 3 or 4 years of relevant working experience in similar role, will be considered for Senior Associate level.
• Basic GST knowledge will be advantageous but not compulsory.

The Role

This role will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and compliance of indirect taxes, including VAT, sales tax, GST, and other applicable local tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and filing of indirect tax returns (VAT, sales tax, GST, etc.) in compliance with local regulations and within specified deadlines.
• Support the review and analysis of indirect tax liabilities and ensure accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions and compliance with indirect tax laws.
• Monitor changes in indirect tax laws and regulations and assist with ensuring the company’s tax positions are aligned with these changes.
• Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and support tax audits by providing necessary reports and information.
• Coordinate with external tax consultants and advisors on tax-related matters.
• Help manage indirect tax compliance for multiple jurisdictions and maintain accurate records of all filings.
• Review contracts, invoices, and transactions to ensure correct indirect tax treatment is applied.
• Support the implementation of indirect tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency and minimize risk.
• Assist with identifying and resolving any indirect tax issues or discrepancies.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate should possess a degree in accounting and finance, with CA/CPA certified, and brings along a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in indirect tax function. The incumbent should have strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, have good attention to details, with the ability to work with minimal supervision in a team based environment, and able to multi-task, possess excellent communication skills and are proficient in excel. ▪ To assist in coordination and logistics management of:

o Staff security clearance matters

o Client device delivery

o Client device staging and image distribution

o Client device deployment & OS upgrade scheduling

• Follow-up on corrective actions taken to address the observations and prepare summary status reports
• Assist in other aspects of audit functions including admin tasks

Requirements:

• At least an Advanced Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy.
