Role Description

The Group Risk Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the overall risk management strategy for DigiFT, ensuring that all risks across operational, financial, compliance, and strategic areas are identified, assessed, and mitigated. • Perform irological assays in cell culture for a wide variety of RNA pathogens, including chikungunya virus, Zika virus, dengue viruses, enteroviruses
• Perform meticulous recordkeeping and draft reports and presentations to collaborators
• Oversee daily laboratory activities and help manage the lab’s routine admin duties
• Help new students and postdocs settle into the lab, transfer techniques to them, and participate in their research
• Ensure safe technical practices and procedures

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Infectious Diseases, Microbiology, Immunology, or related field
• At least 3 years wet lab experience and relevant experience in molecular biology and in cell culture
• Experience with RNA techniques (RNA extraction, qPCR, next generation sequencing, northern blotting) is preferred
• General lab skills in molecular biology (cloning, PCR)
• Highly motivated and able to work independently and multitask
• Team player with good interpersonal skills
• Good spoken and written communication skills
• A strong desire to constantly learn and acquire new skills
