Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Maritime Studies or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HR Maritime or shipping industry.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore employment laws and regulations
- Experience in managing remote teams and implementing remote work policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office (Suite).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Job Description:
- Review and redesign organizational hierarchy, considering interdepartmental relationships and internal workflows.
- Analyse and update job descriptions for office staff to ensure alignment between procedures and actual practices.
- Propose, develop, and implement comprehensive office policies, including (but not limited to: Work from Home Policy, Loan Policies, Leave Policies, Travel Allowance, Phone Benefits / Usage Policies).
- Develop metrics to evaluate staff performance.
- Create and implement a performance-to-rewards system to identify and recognise high-performing staff.
- Address employee grievances promptly and professionally.
- Facilitate conflict resolution to maintain a harmonious workplace
- Assess training needs across departments.
- Coordinate and implement development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Prepare and present reports on HR metrics to senior management, including: Turnover rates, Employee satisfaction levels, Compliance issues.
Able to start work within short notice will be highly advantageous.
