About the Role:
We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist / Business Partner to drive and own the graduate and experienced hiring (60:40) across our APAC region, focusing on offices in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Perth.
This strategic and highly visible role is essential to our growth in APAC. You will be responsible for attracting high-potential graduates for our Academy training program and headhunting experienced recruiters using a consultative, business partner approach with your stakeholders and putting candidate experience at the heart of your process.
You will work closely with regional stakeholders and early-career communities across APAC, developing impactful recruitment campaigns that support our global talent strategy. Reporting to the Head of Talent for EMEA and APAC, this role also involves collaborating on cross-regional initiatives in onboarding, retention, and employer branding, acting as a business partner in a truly consultative manner.

We are ideally looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist / Business Partner who has experience in 360 Agency Recruitment or in-house Talent Acquisition within a high-growth environment recruiting for Recruiters or Sales/BD roles.
Job Responsibilities:
Full-Cycle Recruitment
Ownership of the entire recruitment process:
- Sifting applicants, proactive sourcing, interviewing and shortlisting. Making use of behavioural/strength-based interviewing techniques.
- Ownership of interview process with Hiring managers, including scheduling, feedback, advising and upskilling of best practice and decision making.
- Lead the offer process, including negotiating and closing offers.
- Pre-Start and post placement care working alongside HR, L&D and our Tech department.
- Serve as the primary contact for candidates, ensuring a seamless and positive recruitment experience and generating referrals and reviews.
Sourcing and Talent Pipeline Development
- Develop sourcing strategies to build a pipeline of talent regionally, actively engaging candidates through direct sourcing, social media, job boards, and networking within the early career and recruitment sectors.
- Establish and maintain relationships with regional talent communities, universities, and professional networks to attract diverse, high-quality candidates.
- Take the lead on researching, costing and organising regional recruitment events (internal and external) and university partnerships
- Conduct direct sourcing and headhunting for specialised roles-building out a Market Map for each region.
- Ownership of driving and reporting of Internal/External referral scheme
- Continuously driving improvements specifically in quality of hire- measured by retention data
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Foster strong partnerships with hiring managers to align recruitment strategies with business needs.
- Build a Business Partner relationship-setting the operating rhythm with regular 121s, attendance at management meetings and embedding in your regional leadership teams.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and internal teams to provide updates on recruitment activities, ensuring hiring strategies support team fit and growth.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Spencer Ogden, representing our company values in interactions with candidates and both internal and external stakeholders.
- Upskill, train and support Hiring managers on how to interpret Assessments, best practice for interviewing focussing on behavioural/strength-based questioning and post acceptance onboarding.
Candidate Experience and Brand Management
- Champion an outstanding candidate experience, promoting the company’s values and culture at every touchpoint.
- Design and implement creative recruitment campaigns to attract top talent via social media, digital platforms and external relationships.
- Create and manage region specific marketing materials that showcase the company brand and attract candidates.
Recruitment Process Improvement and Compliance
- Continuously refine recruitment processes, tools, and strategies to ensure compliance and effectiveness and drive a best-in-class function.
- Maintain recruitment databases, ensuring timely updates and reporting on candidate interactions and recruitment metrics.
Data and Market Insights
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, providing insights and recommendations to enhance recruitment efforts.
- Use recruitment data to monitor pipeline health and track market trends, making data-informed improvements to the strategy.
Mentorship and Team Support
- Support junior team members by sharing best practices, offering guidance, and helping to set clear objectives that align with company goals.
- Act as a mentor to promote professional development within the team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Ideal Profile:
- 3+ years in recruitment (agency or in-house) within global or multinational settings.
- 1+ years experience recruiting for Recruiters or Sales/BD roles
- Prior experience in APAC recruitment is essential -familiarity and use of local workforce/immigration platforms (such as MoM) highly desirable
- Proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter, social networks, and other sourcing tools.
- Fluent in English additional proficiency in Mandarin, Korean, Japanese or Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
