Job Summary:The Assistant Manager will assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and efficiency. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership: Support the Restaurant Manager in leading and motivating the restaurant team to achieve performance goals and deliver outstanding service.
2. Operations Management: Assist in managing day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
3. Customer Service: Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
4. Training and Development: Support training initiatives for new and existing staff members, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their roles effectively.
5. Financial Management: Assist in managing expenses, labor costs, and inventory levels to achieve financial targets and maximize profitability.
6. Quality Control: Monitor food quality, presentation, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards, taking corrective action as needed.
7. Problem-Solving: Address operational challenges and resolve conflicts or issues that arise during shifts, maintaining a positive and solutions-oriented approach.
8. Sales and Marketing Support: Assist in implementing marketing strategies, promotions, and initiatives to drive sales and attract new customers.
9. Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with staff, management, and other departments to ensure a cohesive and collaborative work environment.
10. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations, as well as company policies and procedures

· Risk Management with focus on counterparties risk management, market risk, credit risk, country risk, trade compliances, system control, legal and compliance risks.

· Review trading & credit limits of new and existing counterparties, involving in-depth analysis of counterparty’s financial standing, business outlook, risks and opportunities.

· Responsible in identifying, analyzing and assessing risks, controls and processes in operation of the existing business & new business.

· Report the findings and recommend processes, systems and control points to manage both inherent and residual risks as well as improve weaknesses in the system/ business operations.

· Ensure the development, implementation and improvement of the overall effectiveness of risk management SOP and policy

· Active participation in the development of information systems and databases to accurately capture trade & credit exposures in consolidated form.

· Ensure competent, dedicated and motivated workforce to achieve the goal

Requirements:

· Candidate should possess (Hons) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/ Finance / Economics / Business Science / Engineering

· Minimum 5 years of working experience preferably in the commodity industry with specific exposure to risk management related field or credit risk management

This above role will play a crucial role in supporting the main Executive Assistant to ensure smooth operation of the International Business Office (IBO) administrative functions.

• Assist in booking travel arrangements, including flights, accommodation and transportation.
• Support the application process for Visas for the IBO team. Liaison with travel agencies, embassies and other group companies to confirm the latest Visa requirements for travel designations.
• Support EA to manage IBO team’s calendars.
• Manage official communications, including calls and emails. Act of point of contact between internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in planning and organizing both internal and external meetings and events. Ensure timely communication and preparation with all relevant parties.
• Assist in reconciling and verifying the IBO team’s travel and entertainment claims in accordance with the Company’s business expense policy. This includes preparing travel requisition and submission of claims, etc via our system.
• Organise and maintain records, files and documents relating to IBO administration
• Assist in drafting and reviewing memos, letters and other correspondences
• Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive information
• Taking detailed meeting minutes
• Administrative duties and any other duties assigned by the Executive Assistant.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Office Management or equivalent
• At least 3-5 years’ relevant work experience
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of discretion and confidentiality

• Provide comprehensive logistical support during the conduct of school camps at the Outdoor Adventure Learning Centre (OALC), including but not limited to:
• Assisting in the setup and arrangement of camp facilities, ensuring they are conducive for the camp activities.
• Coordinating with camp facilitators and staff to facilitate smooth operations and address any logistical needs that may arise during the camp.
• Overseeing the distribution and collection of camp equipment and supplies, ensuring their proper usage and storage.
• Assisting in the management of emergency response procedures and ensuring the safety and well-being of camp participants.
• Provide support in restoring OALC facilities back to their original state in readiness for the upcoming camp, including but not limited to:
• Conducting thorough checks and maintenance of camp equipment, reporting any issues for timely repair or replacement.
• Collaborating with the maintenance team to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and readiness of camp facilities for the next camp.
• Support camp operations, including but not limited to:
• Assisting in the setup and arrangement of sleeping quarters, dining areas, and activity spaces to meet the specific requirements of each camp.
• Collaborating with the meal caterer to facilitate the provision of meals and snacks for camp participants, ensuring dietary requirements and food safety standards are met.
• Assisting in the breakdown and storage of camp equipment and supplies at the conclusion of each camp, ensuring proper inventory and organization for future use.
• Assist in general administration work.

Qualification:

• Minimum 1 year of work experience preferably in a school or camp environment, demonstrating familiarity
• Personnel with school operations, camp logistics, and the unique needs of young camp participants. This may include experience in roles such as camp counselor, school support staff, or similar positions involving direct interaction with students and logistical responsibilities.
• Proficient in organizing items for housekeeping matters, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of camp facilities, including:
• Managing the distribution and collection of bedding, towels, and personal items for camp participants.
• Coordinating the disposal of waste and maintaining cleanliness in common areas and facilities.
• Assisting in the setup and arrangement of equipment for camp activities, ensuring they are accessible and in good condition.
• Strong ability to collaborate with others and communicate clearly, including:
• Working effectively with camp staff and facilitators to address logistical needs and ensure the smooth execution of camp activities.
• Communicating with camp participants to provide guidance, support, and assistance as needed, fostering a positive and inclusive camp experience for all.
