The Institute for Adult Learning (IAL), an autonomous institute of the Singapore University of Social Sciences, is at the forefront of building capabilities and continuing professional development for an effective, innovative, and responsive TAE sector. Centre for Workplace and Learning Innovation (CWLI), a division under IAL, leads the learning innovation with and for the Training and Adult Education (TAE) sector through programmes and initiatives. About The Job

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Innovation Programmes, the position works with the various Programme Managers (PMs) in meeting the centre’s objectives to advance the development, proliferation, and adoption of proven innovative learning solutions. The appointee will be part of the team to conduct evaluation of grant proposals to ascertain their innovation value and eligibility for funding support. The appointee will develop and implement the innovation sandbox and go-to-market strategy for proven Minimum Marketable Product (MMP) learning solutions that could lead to their readiness and acceptability for wider adoption in the larger learning and development community. The appointee will be responsible for developing and sustaining a strong pipeline of contents for the innovation microsite as part of providing resources to support such wider adoption. The appointee should therefore be familiar with the training and adult education landscape and is adept at leveraging market and business-related research studies to support adoption efforts. The appointee is expected to work effectively cross teams and collaborate to synergise the different programmes to better achieve intended outcomes.

What You Will Be Doing

Key activities related to these responsibilities include:

• Work with programme managers to strategise, develop and implement plans to proliferate adoption of proven learning innovations.
• Contribute to developing new programmes and improving the centre’s programme(s).
• Engage organisations to interest them in embarking on innovation efforts and onboard them by providing them with the necessary support and advise to help them achieve their innovation objectives.
• Provide advisory services and support to enterprises on how learning technology can fuse with pedagogical knowledge.
• Provide advisory services and support to enterprises interested in adopting promising innovations and ensuring successful adoption(s).
• Participate in the evaluation of submissions to the innovation grants
• Participate in the evaluation of outcomes and impact at the end of individual projects.
• Additional duties may be assigned, and functions may be modified, according to business needs and industry developments.

Job Requirements

• A master's or bachelor’s degree, preferably in the Social Sciences, innovation and/or business management, education technology, or learning sciences.
• Minimally 5-8 years of working experience in education and adult learning and training sectors; or a related role in Business Development / Corporate Development / Strategic Planning with good experience in market research, project and contract management. Any combination of these areas is a strong plus.
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with stakeholders, possessing strong communication skills (written and verbal) to engage and influence stakeholders of all levels of seniority.
• Possess prior experience in the Training and Adult Education (TAE) sector is highly preferred.
• Possess experience in facilitating and enabling commercialisation of products and services.
• Display strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to prepare effective presentation materials for senior management on deals.
• Demonstrate strong systems thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect the dots to develop a deeper appreciation of current and emerging key issues and exercising good judgement to provide sound recommendations.
• Possess an ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Demonstrate an ability in meeting deadlines and delivering on KPIs.
• The successful appointee will be based in IAL Campus located at Lifelong Learning Institute next to Paya Lebar MRT station.

Roles & Responsibilities

Our School-Based Student Care Centres provide a caring, conducive and safe environment for children whose parents are unable to look after them during the day because of work commitments. We look forward to grooming the next generation of students via our holistic enrichment programme.

Jobscope:

• Manage the daily operation of the centre.
• Handle administrative duties – student and staff record, correspondence with clients and stakeholders, collection of fees.
• Oversees the staff’s welfare, Staff duty roster and supervise & guide staff in Classroom Management.
• Conduct monthly Staff meetings to plan programmes for the centre.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Cluster Head
• Manage the centre daily operations and provide the necessary support and guidance to the SCC coaches.
• To liaise with the SCC Coaches & work closely with Teaching Excellence to provide the necessary support and feedback.
• To motivate and work with the team towards achieving excellence and to meet centre target(s) and key performance indicators.
• Supervise activities to achieve developmental objectives. Daily administration - attendance, grade records, health, and safety, etc.

• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the student care/education industry is required, preferably in a supervisory position.
